Same postion as you with the 5k markup but The dealer straighaway said no neogatiation on ADM.
I am very much against ADM but i just dont know what to do with ford struggling.

Buy it or don’t, your choice.

If you don’t, someone right behind you in line will gladly pay it to not have to wait.

People seem OBSESSED with the idea of MSRP and ADM.

Why? Because everyone wants to feel they got a “deal.”

A few years ago, only a fool would pay MSRP for a car.

Now, only a fool would pay over MSRP for a car and a wise purchaser pays MSRP.

What changed? Supply and demand. It’s all relative.

Ironically, even a few thousand over MSRP is still a “deal” on a Mach E.

Why? A few reasons:
1. Your trade also went up a few thousand this year.
2. They actually DROPPED MSRP by $3,000 a year ago
3. Inflation was about 6% this year. So anything less than 6% over 2021 MSRP and you’re actually paying LESS than someone who paid MSRP a year ago

Unfortunately this is all logical and cars are more of an emotional purchase.

I think it depends on the trim level and how willing someone is to give up specs/colors or how long they will wait/search. This week I’ve started searching most of the US (except New England and the far west coast) for the 21 version of what I have on order. Willing to change range and interior color. I’ve found 4 that were available at some point this week. Lowest ADM is $5k (up to $8k) except the one in Ohio that is $3k ADM but I’m #23 on the waitlist when it arrives.

You want a select or maybe base GT doesn’t seem to be too hard, but a Premium seems harder to find and negotiate on.

What’s your local dealer? I’ll check them too.

No I think they are pigs. Corvette C8 you were able to order at MSRP if you put in the leg work and their was zero built and not presold. Mach E there are 95 on lots within 30 miles of my house.

How do you know there are 95 on lots? You’ve seen them and called all the dealers? Dealer websites list cars not even there yet. Around me, it shows a couple hundred, yet each dealer has only 1 or 0.

I don’t trust a dealer who uses stock photos instead of actual photos. Doubtful they’d have 11 cancelled orders actually in stock. Go by the lot and they may have 1 or 2 and they’re spoken for.

They are almost all Selects. The dealer I have my order in with has at least 3 stock selects on their lot (or did last week when a buddy went over there and asked). From everything I’ve read Selects are much easier to get from Ford and find on lots.

I thought every Mach E was a customer order, so dealer inventory would only be cancelled orders.

Are you saying dealers can order selects for dealer stock (without them being custom Customer orders)?

He then told me that due to shortages it hasn’t been built and the order was cancelled by Ford, but they expect to see that specific 21 go into production soon. Doesn’t even make sense. SMH. ?

Yes. I’ve seen a few posts saying Ford has allowed some dealers to order some stock Selects or did at the end of the MY21. I don’t understand allocation enough to get all of it. I looked at the window stickers of my dealership and they are mostly all blue for the Selects.

The order I took over was real because the window sticker came up and I could confirm everything the dealer told me. And they sent me the VVR every time I asked.

So it is possible to find one and find a real one. It just takes time and effort.

Most definitely. You can tell by the window sticker. The ones at the dealer that was just posted are all blue, meaning they’re dealer stock. Green are customer orders. They stay green even if the customer cancels.
