Wheel weights...

I was cleaning and protecting my wheels today

And I noticed, almost every one had quite a bit of weight added for balance..

Seemed a like odd for me being brand new.. is this a normal thing, a mach-e thing or a me thing?

That doesn’t seem out of whack for a wheel with weights only added behind the mounting face. They can get away with fewer weights on a wheel that has weights on both the outer and inner rim lips. It’s harder to balance and leave a pretty outboard face.

It's normal, on older cars it was on the outer wheel like this:

Thanks, yes I've seen them usually added after the fact to the outer lip. Guess I never really cleaned a rim before!

Thanks.. now I feel comfortable paying a detailer to do it.. I know the work that it takes!
