Is there a track anywhere that has an EV night where we can open up the accelerator for a bit? I live near Detroit (the motor city).

Try http://www.waterfordhills.com/? It's more of a miata track but it's close-ish. I took my BMW Z4 there a few times.

There is also gingerman on the West side of the state - GingerMan Raceway - Track Information (friends prefered there because it dosn't have a wall you might hit)

These are just tracks I know of - no idea if they have anything EV specific or what is allowed.

Check out open track days - not quite a race but high performance driving - i.e. going fast on a closed track.

Imagine an EV race that could replace NASCAR.... Where the fans could pay for bursts of speed to the driver they want to be able to win. ? could this be possible? Maybe not...

The most suitable race track for EVs is the drag strip. If you lived in the Cinci area I could tell you exactly where and when to go... Search around for local stuff.

Random bursts of speed provided by fans could be very exciting if it happened around a corner! Better than nascar for the crashes it could produce ?

No the driver would have control over the car and when the speed burst could happen, Like a nitro tank. The fans would all have to chip in online live. This could be huge!!!!

You mean like “Push to Pass” (P2P) like they have in IndyCar? P2P is usually countered by the other drivers engaging P2P. It was fun in IndyCar for a few corners, then everyone had it figured out. It’s just tactics/counter-tactics now. ?‍♂?
