need a car in July. My RT1 December order still not scheduled, but can go down to dealer and get a 21 Gtpe for msrp. Thinking about buying it and then trading it in when my original order gets in.
I was going to do the same thing but when I got to the dealer they marked up the GT 10 grand. I laughed at the same dam and told him he was fucking crazy. They would not deal at all and there was another person at the dealer paying the extra 10k. I have been eating for my Mach-E premium since July 2021!!! Should be here at the end of the month.

I waited 8 months for mine. It was aggravating waiting that long, but I understood the shortage of semiconductors. A friend called us yesterday and asked if we would buy again, and we both said yes.

I am driving a 2019 Alfa Stelvio that I purchased at the end of my lease for a great price. I'm in no hurry for a replacement vehicle. What are the reasons you cannot wait for your car? Do you need a vehicle ASAP or some other reason?
Getting an ev sooner than later can mean real fuel cost savings. Personally, I live in SoCal where gas is currently over $6/gal. Added to this I had solar installed late last year and budgeted enough panels to cover an ev. Under CA's NEM policy, any ev charging would be free for me. So although my current cars are running fine, continuing to wait means paying $6 gas for one car when fuel will essentially cost $0 as soon as I get the ev (not considering the cost of my solar but that investment is already made). If stretched over many months waiting for a Mach e instead of a different ev available sooner, that translates to thousands of dollars of additional cost for me.
