Why the hate?

I truly don't understand the hate people have for the mach-e. There seems to be extreme sides of either loving it or hating it with most people being the latter. I've had people tell me it isn't a car, send me mean memes about it being the ugliest mustang ever made, etc. Why? It isn't our fault Ford decided to put a Mustang badge on it.

In person, I've only ever received compliments on mine.

I've seen some trash talking online that comes mostly from the Tesla apologists upset with the attention that the car gets.

I traded my Mustang coupe in for my Mach-E. I tell people this one is faster.

My attitude is: don't like it? Don't buy one.

Or, if someone is being really obnoxious, I tell them they should write a letter to Ford about it.

It’s the internet, people love…… to hate everything!

Even the “anti-hate” people say some nasty things! Love, peace, acceptance………. Until someone disagrees with me!

Wouldn’t it be nice if we were able to prescribe “chill pills” to people?

I have only had mine a short time but have only received complements so far. If I do ever receive any hate I will direct the hater to a male enhancement website. At least the internet can be good for something.

I have a relative who has said (and posted LOL) the whole "its not a Mustang" but their full context is: "Don't get me wrong: It is a fantastic car, its just not a Mustang".

Still waiting on mine but I always reference it as a Mach E or Ford Mach E. Just to differentiate from the traditional mustangs. Ignore the haters, not worth the space in your head.

I am getting a select but anticipate this will be a better car than my previous 99 GT mustang.

People who think this way are so strange. The company that builds these also build the other mustangs, and they call it a mustang. It is, whether people want it to be or not. Saying it isn’t a mustang doesn’t make it not a mustang, it just makes them wrong.

I like to do the opposite…I call it a mustang every time I talk about it just to get the reactions. I don’t understand why the name would have anything to do with what it looks like or what type of vehicle it is, but it bothers enough people that I get enjoyment out of it.

Have had my Select since Feb. '21.......only one negative question from an old guy at a garden center said "it's not really a mustang", my response, with a happy face, "well Ford made it and Ford named it and I think they have more invested in the Mustang name than we do", he didn't know what to say.....he finally added, "well it's a nice looking car", I said thanks......oh BTW I also am an old guy......I have not had a Mustang owner be negative at all, in fact most give a thumbs up.....had a few thumbs up from tesla owners too

Most people hating it, not hardly, I am seeing the opposite. Maybe you need to start hanging with a better crowd.

To be fair, we have plenty of hate/trash talk about Tesla as well...are we MME apologists upset with Tesla selling 10x the EV's? No, we are just fans of MME, and we hate on other ev's too on this forum, don't kid yourself

I personally think Teslas look like they were designed after a catfish that had a phone book dropped on its head.

You mean the ugly frog face/ catfish looking cars that Elon makes.

Why the Mustang over Tesla? Because Teslas are ugly.
