Will Mach-E get bi-directional charging for 2022?

The "Pro Charge Station" that goes with the Lightning serves as the inverter. It is conceivable that a software update could allow the Mach-E to do the same thing. I wouldn't expect it to be linked to a model year.

Agreed. The Lightning’s bidirectional mode uses the two large DC ports at the bottom of the CCS connector. It doesn’t use the J-1772 portion.

I’m sure Ford will wait until it is well tested on the Lightning before exporting the capability to another model.

Darren Palmer seemed to say in his Electrek interview that the MME was technically capable of V2L since the hardware was already there. Maybe there's battery degradation they're worried about though which is preventing them from enabling it?

V2L may be offered on a few of the MME's competitors in 2022 with Hyundai & Kia on the bi-directional train and VW rumored to be bringing it to their EVs in 2022.

I would really doubt that there are any changes at all for the 2022 Mach E besides color options, and even that I wouldn't hold my breath on.

There'd better be some new colours, currently it's grey or greyer.
