Agreed. The Lightning’s bidirectional mode uses the two large DC ports at the bottom of the CCS connector. It doesn’t use the J-1772 portion.The "Pro Charge Station" that goes with the Lightning serves as the inverter. It is conceivable that a software update could allow the Mach-E to do the same thing. I wouldn't expect it to be linked to a model year.
I’m sure Ford will wait until it is well tested on the Lightning before exporting the capability to another model.
