then wtf are you still here
sorry about your luck I guess, some of us haven't had issues, we know they aren't perfect, but neither are the other brands

Still here because I can I guess? I owned many cars in the last few years, including a new Bronco, multiple Mach Es and my Maverick arriving soon, about 10 cars in the last 4 years only, I put miles on all, and so far my only horrible experience was the Mach Es, I'll never recommend this car to anyone, until the forum admins force people to write positive things only, I'll probably keep saying the same and you will see me around.

Will you DC charge frequently and keep your car past the 8 year warranty?

If not, then the new battery is all downsides.

From another thread- “My vote is that if you live anywhere with an actual winter, stay as far away from LFP as you can unless you just want a local runabout. It will be heavier, slower, have a longer stopping distance, and have substantially less range, especially in the cold.”

And for some of us who are in CA, have the RWD, SR anyways who don't care about performance, being a LFP at 100% is already more range at a lower percent state of charge.

As a previous Bolt owner too, I'd rather stay away from what happened there if I could.

I assume we will keep our car well past the 8 year warranty assuming it doesn't die. Had one that was 15+ years recently and another that's well over 10+, near 15 right now.

Different strokes for diff folks I guess.

Our next EV maybe something very high end though with 400+ range or more to deal with actual road trips and faster charging.

...
That's me - RWD, SR.

Love the Job 2 pricing for the LFP - $4000 less MSRP !

Since I charge to 100% and would like a faster charge curve, living in warm weather helps to get an LFP battery pack.

But I don't keep cars past 3-4 years - especially when the warranty falls off...

Why going to a place where you would feel miserable, which every time reminds you about your past pain? I guess some people paradoxically like the feeling of being emotionally hurt. You will be a lot happier around people who think the same way you do and it ain't here.
