My windshield fluid nozzles recently started showing symptoms of an enlarged prostate, producing but a mere trickle of washer fluid that barely hit the bottom of the windshield. After taking off all the plastic panels and even removing the frunk, I was finally able to narrow it down to what looks like a one-way valve that sits right behind the transition piece on the plastic panel the wipers are surrounded by (I only loosened that by removing all metal clips; to get to it, you only need to remove the first panel in the sequence under the hood).
The valve isn’t completely blocked but it may well be that something got stuck in it. Since it’s one way, it seems hard to clean out. For now, I have just replaced it with a micro sprinkler hose junction, since I am going on a trip tomorrow and it’ll be wet.
Has anyone run into the same issue? Where can I get a replacement? (Don’t want to deal with the hassle of taking the car in for a warranty repair)
