I am sorry if this is out there already but I have not been able to find it. Does anyone know the Specs for the charging pad?
I have read claims of 5W and 10W but havent seen if there is a definitive answer?
I am getting pretty poor performance and just trying to gauge if its just underpowered, or if I am having an issue.

Thanks!

I'd say it's probably around 10W, but no proof.

It will hold a charge, but not really gain any charge on my iPhone 12 Pro while using Wireless Carplay and on the pad.

I just stuck an aftermarket magsafe pad up there and use a 20W 12V plug from under the armrest area. The cable is thin and black so doesn't really bother me. Now my iPhone actually charges while using Carplay, and doesn't randomly stop charging (magsafe is great).

Out of curiosity, I like to see the setup if you don't mind.

it really it terribly insufficient, hate that I have to choose between wireless CarPlay and actually charging my phone. Plus you always have to be eyeing the charging indicator in CarPlay to make sure the little module didn’t conk out for no reason randomly and you’re gonna have a half-dead phone by the time you get there.Which of course means you have to leave CarPlay up and not use the in-car nav.

I think that is more an iPhone 12 issue. For some reason iPhone 12 has a issue with some car chargers we have a Volvo XC-60 and the Mustang Mach-e I have a iPhone 13 Pro and wife has a iPhone 12 Pro. She had issues with the Volvo wireless they had to do a software update to fix it on the Volvo charger. On the Mustang it has to sit perfect for hers to charge with my phone i lay it down and it charges with no isssues. I saw others in here with iPhone 12 issues. The new 13 seems to have fixed the issue.

I think it is just a bug with the iPhone 12 line, my 13 Pro actually charges while using CarPlay. There is a bulletin that the 12 is a true Qi compatible phone, so it won't charge at the quickest speeds and can frequently disconnect.
