Not sure if anyone has seen something similar before, but:

It could be a coincidence, but I noticed shortly after setting the clocks ahead for daylight savings time a few weeks ago that times were showing up wrong in the FordPass app. Particularly the "waiting to charge" times, as well as the times listed on actual sessions in the charge history section.

For instance, I plugged my car in earlier (about 6:48pm ET) at 13% SOC; I have a target charge of 90% set, and preferred charging times of 11pm-6am, daily. As soon as I plugged in, it said "Waiting to charge at 6pm Wednesday.) Clearly this doesn't make sense, as it is set to start at 11pm. TImes and target charge were setup in car, and if I go to each of those sections in the app the times are actually showing correctly there.

About an hour after that, I set a departure time of 9am for tomorrow morning to head to work. As soon as I saved that, the car immediately began charging, saying it would be at 90% by 6am (which is normal); at first I thought maybe it's ignoring the time because it thinks it needs longer to hit the target charge. However, I calculated it (roughly) should take about 7 hours to reach that, not the 13 hours it was from that point until departure time.

Fast forward a bit, and I just realized that the car charged for 45 minutes, reaching 20% SOC, and then stopped; the app now once again says waiting to charge, but now "waiting to charge at 7pm Wednesday; next departure time 9am."

Is there any reason it would charge a bit, stop, and then say it will continue later?

Also as a side note, even though the waiting to charge times are wrong, when it did this 2 weeks ago and I had it plugged in, the vehicle DID actually abide by the 11pm-6am charge time and 90% target, so it seems like maybe the times showing in the app are just some sort of app or server related bug...

I'm hoping it does indeed continue to charge at 11pm tonight, as actually scheduled....?

the charging times, times I plugged in etc have always been wonky on both my mach es.

The stopping and starting charge, never experienced. Do you have your charging window time period set up? Perhaps it's charging and then stopping when it's reached the end of your charge window period?

Ok, just woke up and checked, it did indeed come back on at 11pm, stopped by 6am, and charged to the target of 90%, so I guess it's just a bug with the wonky times, but the car is still following the actual set schedule and target....

From my 4 years with the Mach I’ve discovered that start time for a scheduled charge is a mere suggestion to the car.

The car will ignore the start time for a scheduled charge if it thinks it can’t charge to the target charge by the end time. In those cases it can come on early, charge for a bit then shutoff until charge start time.

Other times it’ll do a calculation and decide if it starts charging now and keeps charging until the end time it will be at target charge by the end time so it charges from plug in till end time or when target charge is actually met.

Then on even other times it’ll calculate that it can’t reach target charge by end time and just not bother charging at all until charge start time.

it also under estimates charge rate.

Finally, it makes math errors upon occasion.

[UPDATE]

I had called and opened a case with FordPass regarding the times being all wonky...

The rep stated that they had received several notifications of this issue, and that they were working on it on the server side and that it should be resolved by today (as well as FordPass 5.16.0 for Android releasing soon)....

Sure enough, I fired up the app and all times were showing correctly!
Plugged in for a moment as well, and it correctly said "Waiting to Charge at 11pm..."

Sounds like, from other posters, this may be an ongoing issue for a very long time, lol, but one can always hope that it is finally resolved?? ?‍♂ ?

Mine has been wonky for around a week-ish. Before that, it’s been rock solid for 2 years (I have a 2023 Premium). I’ve checked all my charge times and levels and they are all correct. Last night, I got home from a long trip (10% charge remaining) and plugged in at 11pm. At midnite, charge began but it quit at 3am at 53% charge. My charge window is midnite to 3pm (odd it quit at 3AM). I checked the app this morning at 10am and it said it would be fully charged at 4:14am. I started it charging manually (used the Start button in FordPass) and it began charging again. I’ve restarted the app and the iPhone. Also checked the update level on the app and it appears to be 5.16 according to the App Store. The only thing left to try is deleting FordPass and reinstalling (with or without deleting data) but I hate to do that. Perhaps Ford will reach out to this post or maybe I need to file a support case. Any thoughts?

I would say filing a case and getting a case# couldn't hurt, that it it's at least on their radar.....

In the first week after delivery, I definitely encountered some fordpass wonkiness in charging data.
Since then, I think I've seen one other incorrect charging date/time entry in the history.

But...because I track energy use (for our ICE and EV consumption) in detail, here's my related annoyance with FordPass.

I get a notification when charging is complete. But the charge history appears to show when I actually unplug. Screws with my "how long to charge" situational awareness:wink:
