I bought a used 2021 MME from the Ford dealer and thats the charger it came with. Do you think they will replace it?

Mine gets yellow light sometimes randomly. Wont charge when yellow light is active. Unplug and replug the unit works for me

They might??? But I doubt it'd make any difference. The periodic amber light with the blue light means it's working as designed. It's designed to slow down the charge rate when the mobile EVSE is getting too warm.

If you don't want charging to slow down, you'll need a different EVSE.

If it won't continue charging until you unplug and replug, something is going wrong. You might want to have that checked out.

Also, make sure the connector is fully seated into the top of the EVSE body. The connector is the short pigtail between the wall and the "charger" brick. You have to push it in fairly hard to get it fully seated.

They should but I would still buy charge point or something similar. And keep the Ford travel charger in the car.

Thanks doesn't seem like a big issue. Just trying to get by on Level 1 until my electrician can do the Chargepoint install. This issue happens every few weeks it seems.

Hmm, it's been a few months since hearing about an amber light problem, I guess FL is warming up for spring already.
