It would be nice to see ford offer some type of retrofit for new hardware. I’d pay for it if it meant I’d get BC 1.5 and this updated experience.
Probably be cheaper, or at least a wash, to just upgrade your car when the time comes. Plus you'd have a new car.
It’s exactly like the Lincoln digital experience that premiered in the new nautilus, except the screens are really tiny. Not at all like our 15.5” screen
It’s not Android auto. It’s Android automotive. Google’s sort of equivalent to Apple CarPlay ultra, but not exactly.
I’ve played around with it in a Lincoln. I’m not overly impressed. One of the most annoying things is that you must have a Google account. Remember, in the Google universe, you are the raw material that they commoditize and sell as a product, with few restrictions. If I’m going to be pimped out on a virtual street corner, I would at least like a cut of the take
