New Used Mach-e Rally w/ Hail Damage - parts help

Fantastic deal, looks great with the dark wheels, drive it like Bonnie and Clyde for a few months and enjoy!

At $27,000 I'm curious what the actual cost would be to bring it back smooth in the paint shop.

Wondering if you can collect Hood Hatch and other parts at the auto recycler over a couple months to save some money if you were gonna to wrap it anyway

Based on what they charge for a fender bender it’s probably cheaper to buy a new car than do that.

For the savings I'd fill and feather in some paint, then wrap it in whatever color I wanted. I looked at that TX dealers site and you did well. All that's left is basic cars over there now.

I was going to try avoid buying fenders and fix those dents. I’ll keep everyone updated with before and after pictures. The car arrives Saturday.

The dealer in Texas said that they took in around 50 cars from the dealership that I think was based in Dearborn, Michigan. I believe only two were Mustang Mach E rally trim.

The Rally doesn't have the glass roof. It's not even an option on the Rally.

The rally does not have a glass roof. I like the challenge of trying to bring it back to new, given that it is new. I’d like to do a lot of the work myself to keep the bargain, a bargain.

There would be something nice about having a new car and not giving a crap about washing it or door dings.

Texas. I actually went to look at a premium and noticed this one in the building and there was no way to pass up that price.

One thing I don’t understand is why the car dealers didn’t fix these themselves. Aren’t they insured? I would be surprised if the hail damage “totaled” the cars. But if it did, did they just take the insurance check, sell the cars as is and pocket the profit? And if totaled are these salvage titles now?

Just curious how these came to be.

Also curious if the selling dealer gave the option and an estimate to have their own body shop fix it.

My quote was $12k to fix. $59,590 sticker and I paid $27k. Clean carfax btw.

Nice deal for you for sure.

Honestly don’t love that the carfax is clean. While it’s good for you for resale, it makes me wonder if there is some insurance shadiness going on.
