Well the article states a 0-60 in 4.7s , so I don't think the BMW is going to be a street racer.

I like the specs, but I find the exterior design of the car to be pretty boring and uninspired. The parallelogram touchscreen is weird IMHO (not in a good way), and I feel like BMW is entering into crisis mode with their front grill designs.

Agreed. It’s an insult to the 2002 to make it the inspiration of the new vehicle.

The launch model is the iX3 50 xDrive.

There will be an M60 xDrive and a full iX3 M versions later on that will be faster.

Yeah, that makes sense. Should be interesting to see what they can bring the 0-60 down to.

Huh, the “vertically embedded” kidney grille in the sloped nose makes the car look like it’s been in a front-end wreck. WTH?

Charging and range sound nice. The center screen looks like it was designed in a unique manner just to be different. The front seats look nice. Overall, I think I will look elsewhere, as I think my MME is better for me.

BMW always under rates the performance of their cars.

As a former 6 time BMW owner and current Mach E GT owner, some version of this will replace the GT. Their build quality is unbelievable, the dealer goes above and beyond, and there's just something to the way a BMW drives.

I love my GT, don't get me wrong. But yeah this will probably replace it.

Looks are always subjective, but based on its 800v architecture at least if one pulls next to you when charging your mach-e you wont have to look at it for long as it won't need to hang around for 40minutrs to get a charge

As ford have no plans for a 800v platform in this class and have unfortunaly reverted to type by losing all interested in the mach-e and extending its life so its customers slowly disappear, this ticks many a box as a potential replacement. If it truly gets close to an epa 400 miles of range then that is a game changer for a vehicle in this size segment.

Specs are cool. But the front grill. I just don’t understand what these designers are thinking. It’s already entirely unnecessary, but is “cosmetic” the right word when you make something uglier? I guess people get terrible cosmetic surgery all the time, so maybe.
