I’m not too offended by the design of it, but I am a UI developer who is often asked to build poorly designed UIs, so maybe it just looks good in comparison I wouldn’t complain if I didn’t have to scroll to get the the climate, lock, and unlock buttons, as those are what I use most. I’d happily let Ford design the app however they want and never complain again if they’d add a feature that would let me plan out routers from the app and send them to my car!

They already have that feature. It's called Google Maps.

Is there a "Golden Raspberry Awards" for app development? Ford would win in all categories!

There is so much blank space at the top, focus/highlight on the wrong object (a car picture, which adds ZERO value to this landing page), quick access shortcuts (lock, unlock, controls) hidden behind the bottom menu as you open the app, and so many weird decisions! This is deplorable!

No way…this is a matter of opinion…this version is super easy on the eye! the app looks super clean and modern, right in line with iOS 26!

The first and third boxes aren't something I'd be concerned with. The white space below the third box and the second, fourth, and fifth boxes are the ones that I would say need to be shrunk. Even shrinking the white space above the Climate button by a very little bit would clean it up a little.

Exactly! Just move the status (in this case “Mach-E Parked”) to the top where the box #1 is and it would look that bad. Still bad, but not embarrassingly bad.

No issues for me with the new app and iOS 26.01. It's been a while since Paak started being quirky, but the last time this happened, I reset it, and it resumed working fine.

AFAIK google maps cannot plan out chargers unless you're sitting in the car.

Got the new one this morning. I quite like it, better layout and the important bits in larger print, (I can even read them without my glasses!). I can't see any changes to the actual funtionallity though.
I wonder if they have fixed the issue with the departure times which keep comming back on when they are not wanted.

Generally I like the design changes but I do hate the giant vehicle location button. How often do I misplace my Mach E and need help finding it? Never. Now I have to scroll down to get to the buttons I actually use daily (lock/unlock/controls)

If actually that design would show us if the left, right, frunk, trunk doors and/or windows were left open. That would be a usefull feature...

Like every other app on your phone, it should eventually update automatically.

I wonder why they don't add back in the app the ability to send an address to the car. Earlier versions of the app had that feature.

For me, it’s the car telemetry. If Ford sent all of the telemetry to Apple Maps and Google maps and vice versa, yeah, it would be better.

Bring back the Trip Planner so I can figure out my trip, ie: charging stops in my home. You can't do it on Google Maps either, needing to use Android Auto or Car Play in your vehicle. (Apple Maps and Car Play the same?)
