My 2022 had the compass on the bottom of the instrument cluster. It appears to be gone in the new 2025 display. Is there a setting to turn it back on?

I've had a '25 MME since May, and I've noticed occasionally the compass appears at the center of the bottom of the instrument cluster in the same place that it was on my '23. But then, next time I start the car, the compass is gone. I suspect at some point an OTA update will fix it, but for now, like the previous poster said, you only get it on the nav, and only if you're not on a route.

Yeah this is terrible and needs to be fixed. Ford needs to put the compass back on the dashboard. In the 2025, it’s only visible if you’ve got the Ford Nav open - and only if you don’t have a route input. It’s ridiculous. I want to know which direction I am going no matter what app is open on my screen. How do we send such a request to Ford? Seems like they can just do an update to resolve this.

The feature has apparently been removed in the 2025, which is ridiculous. I put in a feedback request for it’s reinstallation; you and everyone else can do this too! With enough requests, I bet they do it! Click on this link to get to Ford’s feedback chat; just type in “live agent” to get a real person. They’ll give you a case number upon completion. https://www.ford.com/help/contact/

I tried rebooting Sync, and the compass appeared. The next time I started the car, it was gone. I rebooted again, and it reappeared. And once again, the next time I started it was gone. 😖

Reboot sync is the equivalent of rebooting your desktop PC. It never works, except when it does.

I have a 2021 so this isn’t something I can intelligently comment on (Though come to think of it, that’s never stopped me in the past); people could say it’s projected onto to the left outside mirror and I’d have little reason to doubt them. ;)

Have you tried posting your VIN in the FDRS thread on the outside chance the car is throwing some error codes?

If you have a iPhone and use CarPlay with the map up, it has a compass until they fix it for the newer ponies.
When you say "with the map up", do you mean the built-in Nav map?

I would think he means when you have one of the maps in Apple Carplay (Google Maps, Apple Maps, WAZE) up on your screen

I asked because the compass does not appear in any of those maps. And it appears in the Nav screen regardless of whether you use CarPlay or not.
