I'm pretty sure that you can set it in 5% increments now. I charged to 95% the other day.
I'll try again, I tried last Friday night (6 days ago) and it would only change in increments of 10...
I was trying to set it to 65%, but it would only take 60 or 70...

Select vehicles = this app works across the entire Ford fleet of vehicles, and many models don't have all of these features. Also, I don't believe some Mustang Mach-Es or F-150 Lightnings have heated seats etc.
Gotcha....
It seems that for those vehicles that DO have heated seats/steering wheel (such as my
'24 MME Premium, that is less than 1 year old), it should be enable....It seems like half of us have those extra options, the other half it's just on or off....

I have heated seats in my 2024 Premium AWD ER. I have no control of them in the app. Or the cabin temperature.

What's up with that?

Can’t help but feel we might lose Brian from the forum with all the complaints.

Thank you for trying to keep us informed Brian.

Seems a common complaint is tied to feature variances between same builds. It would be nice to hear from an official Ford representative about the deployment of OTA updates—why some lag behind others with identical builds (e.g., 2024 AWD Extended with temperature controls).

It’s complicated and requires limited resources I’m sure. Then if confidence in the update isn’t high, I’d understand a slow rollout for safety. But would be nice to know the logic going on. Even nicer would be to have the option to make that choice ourselves.

Any way, thanks for trying with us! Hope you stick it out

That seems like such an awfully asinine and arbitrary way to program things on Ford's part....😂🤦‍♂️
It's basically a signal bit-size thing on the vehicle itself, it's not an app side limitation. Also why MY25 vehicles with the new charging software (I think) have some more capabilities.

FWIW - I didn't promise anything revolutionary or new features (yet). I did say "there's more than meets the eye".

I'll double down on this point: As a result of refining our processes on the back-end, we are now able to bring features or quality improvements to users from concept to customers’ hands in a shorter amount of time, which will be key for the future customer app experience.
Can we please get the door lock status to display in the app? Pretty please? That would be appreciated by a ton Ford owners, not just Mach Es. Parked - Locked or Parked - Unlocked would be great information to see in the app.

So it’s an update that makes future updates easier and more reliqble? Cool! My car got a number of these too!

I am finally confirming details of the latest global update we rolled out to the Ford owner app, formerly called FordPass. As you all know, you can access free features like remote start, lock and unlock, plus vital vehicle information.

Ford-App_Hero_Phones-4.webp

With the update you may have noticed:
  • An upgraded Energy tab to view your state of charge, and set a target charge
  • A new look and feel with new fonts and icons for a cleaner, sleeker look
  • Improved ease of use and quicker navigation within the app to access what you need
  • Messaging and alerts are now prioritized, stacked, and more clearly visible so customers can receive and act on the most important information about their vehicle health.
  • For select vehicles, the team has improved the ease of use to get your vehicle ready before hitting the road to set the preferred cabin temperature, heat/ventilate your seats, or heat your steering wheel.
  • Electric vehicle and plug-in hybrid owners will see an upgraded Energy tab:
    • Charge Slider: Slide your finger along the bar to set your target charge
    • State of Charge: Walk away with confidence while charging, and view your state of charge
    • Multiple Vehicles in the Garage: If you have multiple vehicles in your garage, you can give the vehicle a nickname, and the name will appear here so you know exactly which vehicle you are "filling up"

Here’s what the update means moving forward:
Coming off the ground-up rebuild we rolled out last year, the update continues our apps’ evolution from a nice-to-have feature to a central part of Ford and Lincoln ownership. We want to earn the right to be in our customers’ pocket or bag, and that means being incredibly focused on customer feedback.

As a result of refining our processes on the back-end, we are now able to bring features or quality improvements to users from concept to customers’ hands in a shorter amount of time, which will be key for the future customer app experience.

NOTE
: I (Brian) have provided your feedback from this forum (and other online communities) back to the team that you have shared so far.

Our app team’s goal is to ensure we provide a consistent and excellent experience across a range of Ford and Lincoln vehicles with varying capabilities including different app controls and tools, no matter if it is an all-electric F-150 Lightning or Lincoln Navigator.

With this strong foundation in place, from design to back-end processes, the apps will continue to evolve regardless of which vehicle you have. And we’re just getting started.

Read more from Alex Purdy, Global Digital Product Manager.

I don't have access to adjusting the temperature, heated seats, etc in our 24 Premium in Canada. Will we ever get it ?

And still no way to know if the windows/doors are close/open and unlock/lock for the doors. Can we also have the ability to open trunk/frunk/windows remotely? Bluetooth is worthless.

I miss my Tesla more and more...

We had that for years in the Mach-e, those all worked over cellular anywhere. They locked it down to Bluetooth though.

Hmmm... so stupid.
Logic makes sense, I can unlock/lock/start/stop remotely, but those other features I am fine with being within eyesight (Bluetooth). Tesla does its own thing and has an F the world attitude, i appreciate some restraint from my car manufacturer.
