Don't fret about the plate. Mine is probably the same. While I wouldn't put one on if I had the option, a week later I won't notice, not the least because I don't see the front very often.

So how do you track where your car is after it's been shipped. I see a lot of people posting "My car is in x now". I know mine was built and supposedly left the plant 02/06.

So how do you track where your car is after it's been shipped. I see a lot of people posting "My car is in x now". I know mine was built and supposedly left the plant 02/06.

Once it leaves KC ask your dealer for a "Vehicle Visibility" report (daily LOL) and they will be able to tell you the towns it passes along the way (if by rail).

Wow great timing, oh and this just happened to me too:

Saw that and sent an e-mail to my salesperson: "um ford.com says you have the car" and the reply I got was:


(They aren't prone to using all caps so I guess they are excited too--even though they delivered two last week.)

Sent them a bunch of questions now awaiting more info (like when can I pick it up? I asked if I could pick it up this afternoon LOL)

Some people are LOL.

I was e-mailing them about 3 times a week (M,W,F) and they would send me back a screen grab of VV.

Of course this was only during that "last leg" from KC to "here". Up until KC it was just wait wait wait since I could see via palsapp if it showed up at KC or not.

If the dealer gives you the rail car number then you can track it that way without bugging the sales person (if it goes via rail that is trackable).

Congrats guys! It's been a long time coming. I know it goes without saying that we expect full reports as soon as you're forced to take time away from driving so it can charge.

Same process on my end. I got the email. When I looked at Ford Vehicle Tracking it said it had been delivered. Then the Order said it had been delivered and the estimated delivery dates disappeared. The Ford Tracker Tech showed status as "Shipped" when this happened but this morning updated to "Delivered".

So there is a process which hopefully people can rely on. Haven't heard from the dealer but this is not a big deal. No doubt that will happen today.

it was posted on this forum yesterday by Tru that your dealer (and mine) got 7 delivered. I was emailing them for something else in the morning /no responses and they they replied late evening and included the comment that they got 7. Apparently they have two lots and they have to some how physically check the vehicle to figure out whose it is. But yeah I would have expected them to call you yesterday saying its here yesterday. Its only 7 cars. I am sure they will call you today.
