Why does Ford charge me for Bluecruise? I already paid!

Little off topic but when my connection expired. Which means my navigation expires. What does Ford do? When Navigation expires, it reverts to what came installed from the factory, in this case 3 years ago. So my maps are back to when I bought the car. All the updates I received during the 3 years they take them back. I noticed because 3 years ago my town had red light camera and I would get a warning when I approached them. Then the city removed them. But with my updated navigation it knew they were gone and I didn't get a warning. But now that Ford took away my updates I get a warning for cameras that are no longer there. I thinks that's crazy they took the updates back. Now I know I will never pay for the connection packages. Why, if I cancel they will take all my updates again.

If Ford can take away Blue Cruise legally, what other features can they turn into a subscription? Such as DRIVE MODES/ONE PEDAL DRV; PHONE AS A KEY; etc. etc. The connected built-in nav is included for 3 years. But it still function after 3 year except that the map is not updated and you do not get traffic info.

And only cost $80 per year.

Kinda funny that a feature that has had FAR more posts critiquing it as not worth it, horrible, dangerous,..................... .. Is now worthy of class action lawsuits because it's so desirable that it warrants paying lawyers.

Human Beings are a delightful species to observe. There's nothing quite like us.

Less of a deal for those who got it for free then were asked to pay for it.

More of a deal for those who paid $2500 already and THEN have to pay the same $2495 to continue it.

I always find it interesting the things people attack Ford for as well as the things they defend them for.

So far, no one has shown where Ford disclosed to 2021 owners that it was a 3 year subscription. They did change descriptions later.

And how does it make sense that 2021 owners paid $2500 and still have to pay the same subscription fee as people later who paid $0?

At the very least their pricing is very unfair to the early adopters.

And to be clear, the only people talking class action lawsuits are those defending Ford.

That’s an offer for the early 2021 people. The late 2021 people don’t have that cheaper option.

Check your bill of sale. Is it listed as a subscription service? When I bought my 2022 it was clearly listed as a 3-year subscription. It was also listed on the Ford site as a 3 year subscription (not optional) when I built the MME on the site.
Ford gave the early folks an extra year because of the weaknesses in BC 1.0.

It probably was not updates it was getting the info from their cloud service which you are no longer connected to. I doubt the updated info was saved in the car at all.

Couldn’t find my bill of sale from 2021, would be curious if someone has theirs.

I do have a screenshot of my order from Ford.com in April of 2021. No mention of a subscription in the Bluecruise package.

Back then they used the confusing terminology “CoPilot360 Active 2.0.”

Purchased new in ’22, GTPE, paid $1,9000 extra for Ford Co-Pilot Active 360 2.0 which included Bluecruise, Active Park Assist 2.0 and 360 degree camera. Park assist was never available and I got a credit, as I recall. Nowhere on the Window Sticker does it say anything about paying extra for a subscription or indicate that it’s a limited time service or that there would be an increased charge at a later date.

I raised this question once before with no response other than it wasn’t for “hands free” Bluecruise. Nowhere on the Ford app which wants me to pay $800/year for Bluecruise does it say “hands free”. It says Bluecruise. Which I already paid for. See attached window sticker.

Ford has not responded to my concerns and I want to keep what I already paid for.
Suggestions?
