Time to 3D print frunk covers and become a millionaire!

Seriously though, I like this. I rarely use my frunk and now I have access to everything (like traditional hoods give you)

I use the frunk on my Lightning regularly. At least once per week.
About the only time we use it on the Mach-E is when bringing home take-out food or leftovers from a restaurant to avoid stinking up the interior. Maybe 4 or 5 time per year.

I think this photo I posted is from an AWD select. I am assuming the area towards the bottom of the photo is the outer casing of the front motor.

I tried to find a photo of a RWD with no Frunk to see if that space is empty but could not find one with 15 min of looking.

That casing is not the motor. It is the heat pump radiator casing. The motor sits much further back.

Below is a photo of my '24 GT (AWD).

No Ali, at least not yet! About a year ago, Lee was helping me with my thermal test experimenting. Insulated all hoses and the HV battery to see how much more efficient I could get the heating/cooling systems. Didn't make much of a difference in my climate (at down to 32˚) but Lee said in climates where the temps were below 0˚ it could help out.

If $500 makes the frunk easy to open (like tailgate) and gives easy access to 12V battery, I might go for it.
Well, I’ve tried many times to use the kick to open frunk/froot finding it don’t work………because there is no such function.

It’s an age thing šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

To be fair, it doesn't work much better if you're "lucky" enough to have it on the rear lift gate either.

If i were buying today, I wouldn’t buy the car. The post 24 ā€œfrunksā€ are nothing more than a glovebox cosplaying as a frunk.
I'd probably give it second thoughts as well, unless I could get $15K off MSRP again! 🤠 Not sure what we'll do in 2 years, when our lease is up. Will be fun to see what's available at that time. 🧐
