Thank
Saw this on a dealer web site and thought it was interesting. A lot going on there with the heat pump and all. The battery is right in the open.

Were they able to add any more hoses and 4 way fittings? I feel there simply isn't enough possible leaks under this frunk!

I was going to leave my brace off when putting in the Rally springs but figured the StealerShit would say that's why my steering wheel could make a perfect martini. Shaken. Not stirred.

Edit: damn autocorrect, well you're write!

Ford 2027: "we put 30% more shit under frunk this year. Giving a 50/50 balance.
People have been saying that about the number of hoses and fittings etc for a long time. But they've built something close to half a million in the 5-6 years these cars have been on sale - and you almost never see a post saying 'mine is leaking coolant'. I don't think it's nearly as a big a real-world issue as some people have made it out to be. EVs just don't get hot enough to stress the hoses and plastic parts like an ICE engine does.

On the bracing strut, they were only attached with a single bolt each end. An aftermarket one, or one fitted to a serious performance car, almost always has at least two bolts either end to make it rigid. So, I have to question how much of a contribution to chassis stability that strut really did.

Frunk is an instant cooler in the winter (sometimes a freezer). It is nice to buy groceries on my lunch break and just leave them in the car without worry. Only thing I like better about winter driving.

I know, I’m just funn’ing about it as my nearly 15 yr old Focus EV has never had a leak. (But, pick a random 4+ year old BMW I AZ and the story isn’t the same.

With the GT, Rally, and etc - will there be a strut tower brace if you don't order the frunk tub?

You can always get an aftermarket one if Ford no longer includes it.

The only problem is that it’s an oven in the summer time. I rarely place anything that needs to stay cool or refrigerated in there in the summertime. Just stuff like cleaning supplies and paper products.

Yeah, I have to do a full evac and recharge on m 2009 Adrenalin about every four years. Mainly because it sits a lot.

If $500 makes the frunk easy to open (like tailgate) and gives easy access to 12V battery, I might go for it.
Speaking of this - I can open the Frunk with the door pillar panel - but I do not know of an option for opening the tailgate using the door pillar! on 2021 Premium and 2023 GT

I’ve been known to fill it with ice at Safeway in Kona to keep the cold stuff cold before my drive home. This happens when someone* neglects to put the insulated grocery bags back where they belong … in the mach-e.

* code for me.

I have a 2025 GT with the Frunk, but I am always pulling it out to inspect the Break Fluid Coolant etc. If I purchase in the future, I will definitely not get the Frunk for ease of inspection.

Does anyone have any photos of what the underside of the Hood looks like?
