Blue Crusie settings are funky? [SOLVED]

I recently subscribed to BC to try for a long trip. I haven't driven on one of the BC roads, but in the setting lane change moves but stays grey and in lane positioning turns off on its own.

Thoughts?

You likely do not have the latest software updates for BC. I had this issue last year, and an update fixed it.

It's really difficult to interpret your setting based on your pictures. They crop too much of the screen. Out of curiosity, if you drive on a highway (interstate preferred) and turn on the cruise control, does lane detection turn on, and do you see the blue cruise layout?

Sorry I've had issues uploading photos through Mobile. Once BC is activated the settings still act the same. I'll take a look at if there are any updates, I haven't seen any from when I last checked.

You likely are missing the update that added those features to BC, but got the sync update that shows the options. They don't work if the actual blue cruise update didn't install fully. There was a batch of OTAs that updated the module but didn't configure it properly. If it's just the config missing, it can be fixed yourself with forscan.

Sorry I've had issues uploading photos through Mobile. Once BC is activated the settings still act the same. I'll take a look at if there are any updates, I haven't seen any from when I last checked.

Yeah, not sure why the setup options are greyed out. It could be a timing issue, since you have full BC according to your screen.

I took a look in FORscan did a a factory reload for my VIN. That didn't work, I'll take a deeper look at the actual numbers next. Trying to avoid going to Ford for an FDRS update

Since Zoticuss lists a 2021 MME in the profile, this comment from Mach-Lee in the referenced thread may be relevant:

"2021s and 2022s are still on BlueCruise 1.0 which doesn't have in-lane repositioning. That's a feature that came in BlueCruise 1.2 which 2023 and up models have."

As a 2021 owner, We got updated to 1.3 which is the features he's not able to turn on.

If the update didn't complete the field will not be present at all as it gets added with the IPMA update. But some cars didn't get the proper value set.

This worked for me thanks!

I went into FORScan → IPMA As-Built, found line 706-01-02
changed the value from

0000 0000 0010
to
0500 0000 0015


After writing the change, the dash showed Adaptive Cruise Control turned off, which I assume was because the module hadn’t been reset yet.

I then went to the Service Functions (wrench icon) in FORScan and ran the IPMA module reset.

After that I restarted the vehicle, and the driver assist toggle switches started working again and everything worked on a test.
