Charging Speed - Mustang Mach E Premium - Only 80KWS Max

That is true, I started a spreadsheet to show how much $ is charged per KW and also how long it takes.

Luckily I have 4 free hours of charging at my work building where I drive in 3 days a week. This concern is just making sure the charging thruput doesnt have any issues. Since I haven't been able to pull more than 80KWH yet, but the car is brand new with only 200 miles so far.

When I called Ford over the weekend they said it should improve after 500 miles but we will see.

I have a bridge for sale. It's a nice bridge, you will like it.

That has the same credibility as what they told you, which is total bullshit.

Is there a good way to locate these type of chargers? Are they available through the Ford app?

You can use the Ford Connected Navigation to find chargers but your best bet is PlugShare.

Nope. We have 13,000 kms on the car now and the best I have got is 60kw/h. Doesn’t matter if I set as a destination. Different chargers. Nothing. It’s worse than every other car at the charge stations.

Either your car has a problem, OR you're using slow chargers. As explained above, some chargers are slower by design.

If you went to an EA Canada charger, or a Tesla Supercharger, and the battery was warm (i.e. temps are in the 60s or higher), and you're at 10-20% charge, and you don't get close to 150 to start and then settle in the 120s for a while, something is wrong with your car.

If you go to a FLO or similar charger that is rated lower, as shown above it will be slower for you. It is also slower for others than they would have achieved, they just have faster charging than you.

For example, my F-150 Lighting starts around 180kW at a Tesla SuperCharger and 190 at an EA.

If it were my car, I'd take it back and continue to complain until they resolve it. Make them fix it, or I'd tell them to initiate a buyback if they are unable to fix it. If you bought it new and caught it early enough they will do one or the other.

I live in a high rise building in Chicago so there's no personal charger. There's one in the garage I live in but its a 4 hour max park.

The best options for me are to charge at work and the Shell gas station that has a 180W. The work garage is slower but its free for 4 hours. The Shell station is about $12 for 25% of battery which isnt too bad, but id like to get the speed up past 80KWS so you dont have to wait as long. The BMW next to me was clocking 150KWS at the same charger

Chicago is a different place… but in Calgary I’ve actively steered people away from buying this vehicle with no access to level 2 where they live. It’s just a gateway to constant annoyance unless you drive 10km a day or something.

To be clear, the preconditioning starts at 30km (18.6 miles) from the charger. 8 minutes isn't going to do anything. Couple that with arriving at 58%. And the battery wasn't 6C, it was likely colder.

I'm not in Calgary, but would recommend using the PlugShare app. They show 11 fast charging spots in Calgary, and many, many more that are slower. Looks like a lot of free L2 chargers in the area too.
