Can VIN tell you if GT is PE model?

Looking at used 23 GT at a non Ford dealer. Battery range of 260 indicates it is a GTPE, adverstised as just a GT....called dealer and not very helpful. Looking for Magneride which I'm pretty sure only comes in the GTPE for this year.

VIN is 3FMTK4SE5PMA08007

Been looking at decoders online but still can't figure out if a PE or not. Dealer is a bit of a drive so don't want to pursue if not a GTPE.

It's a GT, not a GTPE. Those are GT seats, not GTPE seats...

Also, the brake calipers are too small and not marked Brembo to be a GTPE. (Mark Boris highlighted to me that this photo shows the rear wheels, which have the same size calipers for the GT and GTPE. But yeah, the seats and the missing VIN 8th's digit X prove it is a GT.)

(The rotors don't look great either)

The rotor will clean up with a hard brake in neutral. Nothing to worry about in a car that rarely uses physical brakes.

It also has the glass roof....other than the glass roof (i know it was an option on the 22, not sure if standard on 23), are there any other options on a 2023 GTPE that I should be looking for or did that years GTPE come with everything that was factory available.

I believe the only options (more like extras) beyond the glass roof were all weather mats and the inflator kit. The Nite Pony package was also available on 23s.

AFAIK the GT PEs all came with these wheels as standard.

At least that's what I use as a visual indicator from a distance. If the owner has changed the wheels I check the seats.

As a note; the 23 Job 1 cars that were BlueCruise equipped had a three year BC subscription baked into the final price. J2 cars had a three month free trial. That's why the prices were significantly different between say May and June of 2023.

To answer your question, if the 2023 GTPE came standard with everything that was factory available, yes it did, including the glass pano roof. The only optional package for a 2023 GTPE was the Nite Pony Package which included high gloss painted black GTPE wheels, Mach-E 4X badge outlined in black, GT liftgate emblem outlined in black and black wheel center caps with silver pony. Three other options were All Season tires (not available with the Nite Pony Package), mobile charger and interior protection package (Front, Rear floor and Cargo all weather rubber mats).

As far as the VIN, if the 8th digit is an "X", the car is the Performance Edition version of the GT.

Oddly enough, I can’t pull up the window sticker on the ford website using that VIN

The "E" in the 8th digit of the VIN on the first post says that it has the upgraded front motor but that the front and rear motors are "limited." This says that it is a GT (non-PE).

thank you....funny thing is the other one I was looking at is an actual PE, same year but original MSRP was 7K lower. It already sold so a moot point I guess.
