Mach-E Stop Ship Mystery

According to VV, my Mach Drop FE was delivered to a depot on the south side of Atlanta almost two weeks ago, but is in stop-ship status and hasn't moved. I've heard nothing from Ford, and my dealer says they have no further information. The ETA on the tracker has changed from 3/4 to 3/21.

I've read of the bolt issue, but thought those repairs were being done at the dealerships. Why would my car not be delivered to my dealership?

Yes, I know that eventually I'll get the car, but don't know why I see so many other FE's built in the same time frame being delivered but mine is still on hold.

Anybody got a "mole" on the inside who can look into this?

I had the same issue. Mine was sent to Michigan. But I just heard it’s on it’s way to Denver. No idea why but my window was moved from 3/8-3/12 to 3/19-3/25.

Let's hope that your MME goes directly to your dealership and not held any further.

Let's hope that your MME goes directly to your dealership and not held any further.

So Ford corporate called me a day or two ago to tell me that’s what’s happening. I’m monitoring the situation over the next week for the exact reasons you state. If there’s another unreasonable delay, I’ll be moving on. Weather might delay it here which I can live with as that’s not their fault.

We are trying to understand what is going on with our car as well. Found out today it is in Wilmington, DE, where it should have been offloaded from the train and put on a car carrier towards the dealer. ETA was Monday and now the Ford tracker is counting up! Talk about a day-for-day slip Anyway, I'm also looking for info as the dealer knew where the car was but they can't seem to predict when it will get to them. Currently not on the bolt recall list. I will roll over my hope into tomorrow, I guess!

How did you connect with Ford corporate?

There are several threads in this forum that list a few email addresses. I emailed the chief customer service rep. Also Twitter is a pretty useful tool.

So my dealer thought my vehicle was in Mexico. I was literally about to place a Polestar 2 order and then Ford called me and I found out the car went to Michigan and was on its way to Denver. It turns out my dealer, who recently just bought this Ford dealership, didn’t know how to properly read a VV report.

Mine is in the same boat. Got to KC well back in February, but supposedly there is a stop-ship and its stuck there. My dealers car arrived in KC 2 days before mine and it arrived at the dealership yesterday.

Just heard that my car took a side trip from Georgia to Michigan for additional quality checks. Apparently, it's on the way back to Georgia now. It seems that it was not the only car to go visit the wolverine state. Too bad that Ford could not share this information with us directly.

You can say that again, would solve the problem of so many people having to bug the dealer, Ford corporate etc etc etc. Customer satisfaction would increase 10 fold, all they have to do is make this information available to the customer. Communication is key in 2021, it shouldn't be that hard to keep the customer informed, even if basic info would do.
