Wait the car comes with floor mats. The protection package makes it seem like there are no floor mats.
It comes with carpeted floor mats. The protection package is plastic/rubberized floor and cargo mats.

Yeah compared to the interior protection mats, the carpeted ones are super flimsy and cheap.

The only issue I had with the mats was clipping them in took a bit of time to ensure everything was lined up.

yeah this is actually typical Ford setup - basic carpet mats included that aren't great but honestly aren't that terrible either, optional "all weather" which as others have mentioned are also available in other forms from other vendors (once they start making them)...

in the case of the Fusion I actually have three sets of mats at this point - the cloth it came with, the official Ford rubber all-weather I bought later, then the WeatherTech I bought later still. In some ways the WeatherTech are actually a bit yuckier than the Ford rubber mats - they are hard plastic and not as "premium" feeling, but they go up higher on the sides and offer more protection as a result.

I had weather tech mats in the Escape. After 4 years I wore a hole in the place where my right heel rests. Did not notice it until I took the mats out to clean this winter.

I ordered the OEM mats from Ford after I bought it (didn't get the protection package w/ the car).
I wonder how I can just buy the rear mat since the "aftermarket" Ford package doesn't seem to come with it.. I haven't researched much yet though so may just need to keep clicking through the OEM shops. Edit: Just found it lol MJ8Z-58047A74-AA.

Anyone with these mats - the backseat ones, do they come together flush for you? Mine seem to stick up a little, between the two mats, at one of the corner connects spots. I am going to have to find a way to get that to sit in the groove a little better.
I also ordered the 4 from Ford direct and the cargo from a dealer. The back is not flush where they meet up in the top corner. Maybe a hot air gun to soften and remold it would work. However it really minor so or myself I am just going to leave it.

I got it for $126 with shipping - MJ8Z-58047A74-AA

I didn't order the protection plan as the FE didn't have that choice or I missed at the time. I ordered it for about the same price. So I had 3 mats in the trunk (2 front 1 long back), I added the rubber mats to the front and left the others in the trunk. The dealer after another washing after service installed them under the rubber mats. So maybe if you buy the protection package you don't get them?. If so I would suggest ordering the protection package outside of the MME as then you get two complete sets of mats. The rubber are good year around but would be nice to have a backup set maybe.

It was there and you get both if you order it with the car.

I realize I contradicted myself a little bit compared to https://www.macheforum.com/site/thr...-interior-protection-package.4295/post-128913 earlier in the thread. depends on how you want to look at it... the protection for what's there is comparable but again the WT goes a bit higher up so total protection is arguably better I guess.

Can anyone order from Ford Direct? I can't find a way to place an order without being a dealer.

Wow, didn't know that. I wonder why because there is no safety issue on passenger side. They include snaps on two front floor mats but don't provide two key FOBS; go figure. Must be money or the ill fated PaaK.
I'm glad they did. The one in my car always rides up, exposing the carpet.

When I ordered mine the only option was to pickup from dealer, no delivery option directly to me. I just picked em up and they look and fit great. Way better than the ones that come with the vehicle. I also posted a pic of the instructions that come with them as FYI for previous convos in the thread.

Sent the WeatherTech mats for our Raptor back. They were far worse than the Ford all weather mats.
