Yep, they missed big with the range. The E-Tron is very thirsty. There is a video with a guy towing with his etron and he did even get 100 miles of range.
ouch.. not at that price. Hopefully later in 2022, things may improve along those lines. We'll see.

But they need to find a way to improve range (and charging speed as well) across the board to get the mainstream to adopt the EV's.
Yes on the range. When a $70K "luxury" BEV is bested by a $30K Chevy Bolt -- which is a great vehicle but it's $30K -- there is an issue. That said, I think the charging rate is good. Other than the Taycan, which no one at the moment can compete with, I think it's about the best out there.

Same issue with the I-Pace IMO. It has a great design, in contrast to the e-tron, but the range and charging rate aren't commensurate with its price. I'm not that price sensitive, but price is always a factor. Cost, range, and design made the MME an easy choice for me. Ford just managed to tick the important boxes.

I would still take the Mach-E over the E-Tron even with the massive Audi discounts in SoCal. The biggest thing that I enjoy about the Mach-E is how special it looks. Even non-car people see it as something unusual, new, and special.

Audi very deliberately went with a conservative look for the E-Tron, making it look like one of their other high quality products, but one that just happens to have an electric powertrain. Some people prefer this understated look, but I’d much rather have the bold MME.

Maybe in a few years Ford will start offering large discounts on the MME, but given how rare of a sight it is (still have seen zero on the road aside from mine), I can see why MME buyers wouldn’t get any discount now aside from the $1,000/$2,500 rebate from Ford while the E-Tron is at a place in its lifecycle where five figure discounts from MSRP are becoming more common.

The quality and price of e-tron are really compelling. I cancelled my Mach-E order and purchased a Premium E-Tron with Comfort package (black optic, adaptive cruise control etc) and towing package for less than Mache-4X Premium. This is in CA Bay Area and with cash.

You financed or you leased it? No where is that etron with those options cheaper then The mache premium.

This was with cash and in the CA Bay Area. There are deals to be had if you're willing to negotiate hard.

I like than you can do unbiased reviews of competitors without bashing them. Kudos!
The 360 camera of the E-Tron is pretty amazing too!
But in Canada if would have cost me $37,500 all included than my STANDARD RANGE Premium AWD! (the range is similar). The other thing the E-Tron have is a great charging curve on level 3 charger.

Please tell me. The price breakdown and which dealership. gonna give them a ring. Or the salesman. Thanks
MachE 4x is $56K MSRP. Comparable E-tron is $70K MSRP and there are several incentives that can be negotiated to exceed $14K.

That's likely to be the case with anything that's more of a true SUV shape/size. Makes me wonder how they're ever going to turn most of the vehicles Americans love into BEV counterparts with any acceptable range.

Batteries are going to have to get WAY better. Or WAY cheaper so they can load them up without making them prohibitively expensive.

it goes reverse first up before park neutral or drives. It's not in that order. really it's up reverse neutral then drive. the park is not even there at the start. So yes it's not the same.
