I think I will have the norway link ready to email back if I get an email telling me my delivery date is being pushed back (again). Don't broadcast it unless you are ok having it coming back to you ford!
As I was complaining to my Norwegian dealer about FE delays, he responded that at least I don't have to wait over the summer like "those brexit guys".

Just trolling, he said no such thing. Ford Norway chartered en extra boat, which I assume largely was enabled by the large number of orders in the first place.

Most information we have in Norway is what we have been peeking at through the UK forum.

Of those 1000 cars on that boat, none has made it to customers yet.

From my view, UK and Norway seems to be on roughly the same schedule for deliveries. My FE is mid June now - and slipping.

with us also delivery dates have been postponed. From 04/24 to 05/15 see more. I who should be delivered normally on 05/22 I fear the worst because it still has not passed the controls.
I do fear the worst as mine doesn't show as having the update in the PTI screen!

To our Norway friends - I didn't know you had to charter your own ship and you still haven't got your cars!

Thanks Steve.

@Spensaf it's the week ending 12 June so you may have it before the 11th

They did say it could still change in either direction

The car is for my wife and she loved it and is getting impatient now.

As others have said the lack of folding mirrors and a power boot on the SR RWD does feel a little stingy at this price point. Am wishing now that if gone for the ER as it seems a bargain at pre PICG change prices now.

If there are further delays my wife is keen on the Tesla model 3 too, we can have one straight away and at the new 40k price it includes some of the niceties like a powered boot etc. We both prefer the looks of the MME though and as Ford are honouring the PICG we are keen to stick with it as long as it turns up!
I need to get the tow bar fitted to stick my Bike on so it won't happen!

I'll make them wait before I pick it up. See how they like it ???

Ford's communications have just been appalling. If these delays get any worst I might just keep my current car and wait for the EV6. I could probably sell my order especially with the 3k or even drive it for a month or two and break even. Trouble is I am guessing Kia deliveries will be "from" and many will be next year. EV adoption stands no chance with experiences like this when spending £50k.
One major drawback with pulling the plug at this stage is if your car has been built and is in Antwerp there is a good chance that you will get your car soon(ish). If the semiconductor shortage continues then any new cars, whatever the manufacturer, may well be delayed. Therefore what might seem a good idea at the time could work out to be the wrong decision. If you can afford to put multiple deposits down and hedge your bets then lucky you. For me, although I am angry at the situation I am in at the moment, what is out there at the moment is not exciting me like the MME is. I can't afford to put another speculative deposit down anyway.

Yep! That’s the risk.

We just have to keep reminding ourselves of the above, the rwd ER is a bargain with the £3k off compared to the alternatives.

Looking at this, European cars are definitely being given precedence as Grahame mentioned. If correct @Holy Driver car will only be in Antwerp 3 weeks and delivered before ours even leave Antwerp!
We will see if it's working like Ford said.
I believe it when I'll see my car on the dealers parking area :D

Are there any co2 penalty in great britain for car manufactues, when they do not reach a specific co2 limit, like in the EU?

One thing that may work in our favour is that Ford have had a bumper Q1 but are expecting a loss in Q2. They will want to deliver and get paid for as many cars as they can before the end of June to improve their Q2 figures.
I'm surprised that they can afford to have thousands of 50k cars just "sitting around" at any time of the year. If they haven't pulled out all of the stops to get them to us by now then I don't know why the next 2 months will be any different. The bean counters have probably been busy in their basement offices trying to workout which is cheaper. Get the cars out at any cost and let the dealers rectify any problems that the customer may find or hold them back and fix the problems we know about before we hand them over. Either way they run the risk of upsetting customers and damaging their reputation. Presumably the action they are taking is the cheapest. Of course there is another scenario. They actually DO value their customers and they DO want us to have the best possible car on delivery. There's a revelation.

It's your test drive soon Grahame, hopefully it will give you the same feeling it's given most of us.

Hi mate, where on the F12 do you see that, I have been through all sections and cant see anything other than my build date was 4/17. I have the same ETA as you now after it being pushed back almost 6 week since my order.

Cheers
It's under the 'order-status' link - see attached.....
