Excessive noise is being reported here at the forum and I have experienced this as well during charging at a PUBLIC charging point at street level. I have NO OTHER OPTION of overnight charging available and I am unable to ask the public charging network to lower the Amps.... (obviously)

The neighbours are posting notes on the windscreen so this can get very nasty. @Ford Motor Company please provide a fix for this (being able to lower the charge in the car itself might be a good start) or else all urban customers in the EU who rely on public charging will leave. (and they are the vocal ones!) #missioncriticaltoexpandintheEU

For some 'proof' the note in Dutch is attached.

The Mach E isn't the only loud EV when charging. I've heard others pant heavily when charging in warm conditions.

The neighbors are used to cooling noises as this isn't the first electric car in the street... (Tesla's and others) and it does stand out considerably. (under these conditions)

The Noise our MME makes is nothing compared to the noise a Tesla makes. I am ashamed to charge my car on the public road

You think that's bad, that's the noise mine makes charging in my driveway off my 48A Tesla Wall charger.

I tell the neighbors I also own a small to medium fan boat that's just out of sight idling.

The fan output it gives out from the front during this could style your hair.

Is 48A Level 2 charging really taxing the battery that much?

Well ford is super conservative about battery temperatures but the noise is more from the cooling duct work work and how that is setup really can make the fan noise sound bad as it like a megaphone plus changes the pitch of the sound to that which us humans hear really well.

On some videos I have found of telsa they make a little less volume but the bigger part is the pitch is difference so it does not sound as bad.

AKA the biggest issue is the pitch of the cooling fans are making from the duct work on it.

Makes sense. I'm just used to a Leaf charging on the Tesla Wall with a 60A Tesla Tap, no issues.

Throw the ford on there and I get the same cooling levels when at a 50kW DC CCS

The Leaf has a silent air-cooled system that will allow the battery to roast. There is really no comparison.

I'm glad that we do not need to charge our MME in public much. I'm ashamed enough as it is charging in my driveway / garage. #toodamnloud
