I bought a new MachE and want to install a home charging station. I ordered one from Ford parts but found it it was later cancelled due to the fact that they're all on backorder and the dealership that took the order can't get them. My local dealership actually has one but they're marking it up over $300 just to sell it to me so a $799 part would cost me over $1100. What is a good substitute that anyone has tried?

Does anyone know if the FCCS is really necessary for the Mach E or would any 48-Amp unit be as good?

There is ZERO requirement to use Ford's charger. ZERO.

Many chargers are backordered. My utility gives a $500 rebate for an EV charger install, but only if I get the ChargePoint HomeFlex or an Enel X JuiceBox 32, 40, or 48. The ChargePoint is backordered and shows 4-5 weeks. The JuiceBox 48 is expected to resume shipping in September.

You do know that the vehicle comes with a 32-amp charger, right? You just need a 220 outlet with the right receptacle.

I was able to get the FCCS in January. It was recalled before I could get it installed. I went with the Chargepoint Home Flex. I like being able to see the charging info on the app. Certainly not necessary though.

Yep I do know about the 220 charger that came with it. I was really interested in the 48 amp version but can use the 32 amo plug in for now
