  1. Phone as a Key is still not working correctly even with the latest update (21b36). Sometimes I will approach the vehicle with a phone only and it will sense my presence (parking lights come on) and let me open the door but then when I get in and press the start button it shows “NO KEY FOUND” and if I just sit for 30 to 60 seconds and try again the vehicle will allow me to power up. So I went to my ford dealer and purchased another FOB which works every time..
  2. User Profiles don’t always work.. I have 2 profiles setup #1 for myself (FOB and PAAK) and #2 for my wife (FOB and PAAK). 99% of the time I am the person using the car and when I get in the car most times it picks my wife’s profile (#2) even though her phone or FOB are no where near the vehicle and if I push the #1 on the door it will switch to my profile.
  3. Brake Coach only works in “Engage mode” even though it is enabled in all 3 driving modes it only shows up when you come to a stop in Engage mode.
  4. Sirius XM forgets last station. Not always but occasionally when I enter the vehicle and I turn it on the radio defaults to “Sirius XM Hits 1” station which isn’t even one of my memorized stations and I have to change it to my preferred station.
  5. Cruise Control stops working.. I have had 2 occasions while driving a message “Intelligent Cruise Control Not Available” would pop up while Cruise control was engaged and could only be reset by stopping vehicle and cycling power.
  6. Rebooting while driving. This past week I took my first long distance trip with my Mach-E from North Carolina to Delray Beach Florida and after about 2 hours into trip the Radio stopped playing then the large touch screen went black and then after about 10 seconds the Ford Logo appeared and it reboot while driving.
  7. Destinations Suggestions pops up even though it is turned off. I have turned off both “Predicted Destination Alerts” and “Destination Suggestions” but every now and then I will turn on the vehicle and it will automatically start a route in the navigation system even though it has been disabled.

Most of these issues have been addressed in updates, But are not available OTA yet. A dealer can do the updates that are available. #1 and #5 I know have available updates to resolve that a dealer can do. #2 and #4 both have updates coming to address them but haven't been released yet.

#6 I have never had my screen reboot on its own. Only when I've initiated a reboot. And I've driven 8600 miles now.

#7 mine stopped doing this after turning off all the intelligent suggestion options. But was pretty annoying when it happened. I think it took a few tries of disabling things to make it stop completely.

For your item #1, put the phone on the console charging place when you enter the car. Zero, "no key found" errors since doing this. I have had it pop up when putting it in the cup holder, passenger seat and my shirt pocket. 100% reliability if put on the charging pad for iPhone XR. A reminder for this was on my screen this AM, I forgot to put it there today AND I left my phone in Airplane mode when approaching the car. A double whammy today.

1. PaaK worked once for me, never since. I've deleted and re-added it twice, it just flat out will not work. It's not enough of a problem that I'm going to spend time at a dealer to get it updated, it's really just a novelty to me, so I'll wait for the OTA if it ever comes.
2. From time to time, I'll have the issue of it not loading my profile at all. Very annoying.
4. I spent time setting up all my presets for Sirius, only to find the next time I tried to use it (I rarely use it, I almost always stream from my phone), all of my presets were gone. This seems to be a recurring theme with this software, it just forgets what you've set and you can either spend time setting things up again only to see your work disappear, or just live with it. For example, I have totally given up on setting my EQ, it just defaults back to factory every...single...time.

The profile issue and the lack of user settings sticking really points to shoddy QA. Hopefully that's just a result of COVID chaos and not what we can expect in the future.

The one glitch that just bugs the hell out of me, because it affects me every time I get into my car, is the audio cutting out constantly when using Wireless Android Auto. I found if I set the quality to Low for my streaming service, this fixes it, but that's not really a good solution, having to listen to low-quality audio.

I have many of the same issues. Various settings revert to default which is highly annoying. Not sure why so much of this system is half baked, especially PaaK. When you only have one key fob it sure makes it a pain. Shame on Ford for releasing a half baked system with no second keyfob.

I guess I will just sit tight until OTA come available, I am also waiting for them to release "Blue Cruise" which I think should be coming this fall

I work in the tech field and my customers include the OEMs (but not Ford). The persistent software issues suggest a few things to me:

1) Ford’s software group is understaffed. Persistent problems like these imply that there isn’t sufficient time nor DevOps resources devoted to problem identification, resolution, and testing.

2) A significant fraction of their DevOps resources are 3rd party partners who use simulators rather than actual vehicles for integration testing (and possibly for evaluating reported bugs). Simulators are great for dev, but not real world test.

3) Bug reporting itself may be fragmented (which is very common). Even in my company, by the time reported software problems make it to the DevOps team, they’ve been rendered practically useless due to the mechanisms that combine like issues, look for commonalities, and (almost inevitably) remove important details and context.

If there was a second key you would still have to adjust personal setting if it wasn't set to you. I hope it works. Few and far between, I press the profile button if it doesn't connect automatically.

yes I have 2 FOBS and each one is programed into the profiles My FOB is programed into Profile 1 and my wife's FOB is programed into Profile 2 but 5 out of 10 times when I enter the car it defaults to Profile 2 even if her FOB is no where near the car and my FOB is in my pocket.

It is still an issue, if Ford is considering normal to save money by avoiding a recall that is just non-sense on their end..
I agree. And I've let my contacts at ford know that I didn't think its acceptable. Hopefully they will change their minds.

I have asked my contact at Ford a few times about having some kind of bug tracking site. I think just having a place to see what bugs have been submitted, and that they are working on them would help quite a bit. Even if it just shows a status of, bug received, investigating, and then resolved, with a note of what update includes the fix.

Right now we report stuff, and then just hope someday they address it, and have no way of really knowing if they are working the issue or not.

Add "Reverse Brake Assist not available. See manual" I have seen this one several times. The local dealer clears the error codes and tells me the vehicle is fine.
