The dealer has something called a "Vehicle Visibility Report" (if the salesperson doesn't know how to use this, the dealer's inventory manager certainly will know). The report tells the dealer where the car is located. Even if the car is loaded on a moving train ... the train will pass periodic "check-points" and shows show up on the report (so they wont know precisely where the car is located ... but they will know the last checkpoint that it passed.)
