I have not. I thought Ford said the GT Performance Edition would do 0-60 in 3.5 seconds?
Yes they did, and that seems likely with a great launch. The issue is that the acceleration falls off fast after that.

  • The autopilot works nicely on the highway and is pleasant for stop and go traffic. Although I kept my attention on the road, it is nice to have as a backup if I get distracted by something.
Apparently, lots of Tesla drivers are p.ssed off about the phantom breaking, which is not just unpleasant but really dangerous bug.
The other common complaint about M3 was the malfunctioning wipers.
I also remember the early versions had a "blue screen of death" problem, when the screen goes blue and you drive blindly until you can reboot it. Don't know if that was fixed or not.

Ford may have done better if they paid Tesla for the rights to use their OS (especially the navigation). Also, I like the fart option.
Yeah people complain about the tesla misaligned panels and paint issues but fords software is as frustrating as tesla quality issues. It’s like comparing coke Colecovision to a PlayStation 5

I’m not sure this thread should go down this path, but I think it’s pretty well known/proven that humans aren’t great drivers and lose of life results.
No, humans are not great drivers, they are just much better than any "autopilot" Tesla has released so far.
it will also be proven (I’m giving you the benefit of the doubt that it hasn’t yet, even though many would say it has) that an autonomous driver is way safer than the average human operator.
Perhaps, in the year 2525 Tesla will be able to release their beta v. 1000000 that won't be hitting parked cars, or suddenly brake for no good reason, and even drive better than teenagers.

Are we talking about Sync 4A or FordPass? Unless you are having a completely different experience than I am with Sync your comparison is ridiculous. Is there room for improvement? Absolutely. But nothing like what you are describing. FordPass 3.30.0 has actually been performing quite well, too. If they could just get it to stop being so persistent about trying to connect to the car...

Same with Tesla. I remember there was acceleration testing of Tesla and Porsche, and the first was giving worse results with every successive run, while Porsche kept the same acceleration run after run.

Chime on green represents a complete lack of driver SA which confirms that drivers are basically lazy.

Yeah, but this isn't as issue of acceleration falling off after multiple runs, the GTPE cars we have results from show lower acceleration than the 4x models past 60 even on the first pull.

It does 0-60 in 3.8-3.9 but power output after 70 mph is much lower than expected. Quarter mile is 12.6@100 mph. The car should be 12.0-12.1@112-114 mph

The software is bad. PAAK works inconsistently (although to their credit it is better after the last update). The charging limits don’t work. The car blows past whatever limit I set to. Whenever I get in the car the navigation system automatically routes to some destination I never entered in no matter how many times I cancel it. The remote start often doesn’t work and won’t start the car or if it works it starts the car with the AC off. The driver profile sometimes selects guest for no reason. CarPlay often crashes or some kind of glitch will require me to reboot the entire system. Tesla had bad software way back in 2012 but it wasn’t this bad

I have never tried CarPlay so I can't say if my car works better than yours in that regard. I have had some PaaK challenges but nothing that has stopped me from driving. I have not experienced any of your other concerns. Just because your car is having some problems does not mean there are global issues with the software. There are plenty of reports on here of current or former Tesla owners that have PaaK issues, random display blackouts and other concerns. This fantasy that Tesla software is always perfect needs to die. It's just as bad as the Apple "it just works" lie. I've had both iOS and Android for the last 6 years and each has their pluses and minuses.

Interesting, I haven't experienced any of the mentioned problems. You must have a defective car that needs repairs. Perhaps visiting dealership can do the trick.

This isn’t an Apple/android they both have pluses and minuses. This is the difference between a genius software company that rivals or betters the very best in Silicon Valley vs a manufacturer who has been manufacturing for over 100 years. You pick your poison.

1/2 assed manufacturing or 1/2 assed app/infotainment. That’s basically what it boils down to

The software will improve. Look at the original version of iOS compared to the subsequent annual updates that got us to iOS 14.
