That's not really the kind of bounce we are talking about. The car doesn't keep bouncing after you hit the bump like worn out shocks do, it just doesn't really absorb the bumps much at all. It behaves more like a lowered truck or car that has bottomed out but with just enough give (probably the tires helping) to not rattle you over the bump.Yeah, not sure why people are focusing on springs.
Bounciness (or lack there of) is a factor of the shocks. For example: magnaride.
My parents had a Jeep Grand Cherokee they towed behind their RV. Shocks had like 200,000 miles on them.
Totally shot. If you went over a speed bump, it would bounce like 5x.
Spent $100 on new shocks and bounciness was instantly fixed.
All springs would bounce without shocks. The GT springs are stiffer so the bounce would be less, but again, the shocks are likely to blame for what people are describing.
