Can't change Channels in SiriusXM

This happens to me about 1 out of 10 times I start the car. Turning the radio off, then starting it again (by tapping a preset tile, not by using the power button) corrects it.
I’m making a list of these annoyances to present to my dealer the next time I take the car in.

This happened to me today for the first time. I just assumed it is do to my stuck sync update. I also the had the navigation icon show up in drivers display even though I had no destination set.

Fixed now. Just had a day I guess....

Can reproduce as well. Not on 1.7.1.
Tried a refresh… all it did was force me onto the preview channel which I’m now stuck on

update: now I can change channels, but nothing plays, just dead air

Was a wide spread issue from a backend update by SiriusXM. Appears to be all fixed.

What happened yesterday was nothing specific to your MME, it was all Sirius backend. There is nothing to fix or do as they corrected the issue on their end.

Same problem here. started yesterday.

Reboot Sync via vloume dn/ < twice, Not resolved.
Turn off car, wait one hour. Not resolved.

Charge overnight, MME got good sleep. Started this morning, Problem resolved.

Nice to have this forum so I can see it is not just me having the issue.

No other MME problems except several other Sirius / XM issues resolved by overnight charge or Sync reboot.

This car is great. Far exceeded my expectations.

Can someone who understand how SirusXM works explain how a “backend problem” could cause this? I’ve always assumed they stream all channels, when I select one its local to my receiver. There is no upload channel, right? What am I missing?

When the audio system is off, tapping any preset will turn on audio and set it to that station.
Does that help?

Wondering this as well. The only upload path SXM has is through the vehicles modem.

Is that true? I had SXM in cars that had no modem that received updates. I always figured it came via their own satellite signal.
