I noticed this strange thing this weekend. I can actually see my IR camera lights with my naked eye. It is very dim and doesn’t appear to blink but I can see it. When I film them with a camera they are a lot brighter and blink. I never noticed them before. Has anybody else been able to see them?

If you're not seeing it blink, it's not the IR light that you're seeing. You're probably just seeing the IR emitter through the tinted cover. Can you still see it when you turn the car off?

No I cant see it when it turns off. Can’t really see it when bright out but at night it’s very clear it’s on. I see 4 red lights.

Is it bothering you?
It kind of bothers me. Before I never saw these lights now I do. I have a dealer visit for other issues coming up soon. I’ll just add this to the list

Like the OP, I DO see a faint red glow on both left and right side at night. Those IR Illuminators are probably ~850nm like many security cameras with night vision (I am able to see the faint red glow on those as well). They don't bother me.

Some light emitted is hitting the visible spectrum. It's not much. They don't appear to blink because your eyes are not filming at a polling frequency.

I can see it too but it doesn't bother me. Just a little bit of red from the LEDs at night.

The dealer is going to tell you it is normal so good luck there.

I’m already going to the dealer for other things anyways but if it wasn’t visible before but now it is, I wouldn’t consider it normal.

It probably was visible before you just didn't notice it. Now that you've noticed it you can't unsee it.

Keep us updated but 99.9% sure they'll say 'normal'. I doubt they'll even contact the hotline/engineering about it.

It's always been visible, you just didn't see it in the right conditions.

IMO, if you want your service advisor to take you seriously on any other matters, don't mention this to them.
