Can anyone explain what the amber light means on the Mach-E mobile charger? The mobile charger Ford supplies has 3 lights, a blue that pulses when charging and to the left amber and right a red light. The amber illuminates after about 5 minutes on the charger.

First step is to reseat the cord. Unplug the charger from the wall, then remove the plug from the charger, and put it back in, ensuring you seat it all the way. Then, plug it in again and retry.

This has been done. I apologize I should have detailed all the steps I've taken to isolate the problem.

Had an electrician check the 220 volt service, circuit breakers, cord end, plug recept all in perfect condition.

Have done master reset on the car as described by Ford.

Took the car and Ford mobile charger to the dealership, Joe Cooper Ford in Edmond, OK, for repair. They had the car for 2 full days and found no problems with the car. The couldn't check the problem I brought it in for because the DON"T HAVE A 220 PLUG!!!!

Ford's AI that monitors forums like this and invited me to go offline to discuss is a joke and Ford's bot that responds needs serious therapy to be able to help Ford's customers.

In the end I'm just curious what the amber light means when it lights up on the mobile charger. Clearly it means there is a fault but no one has been able to confirm this, describe what the fault is or give any reasonable level of detail.

Sounds like they should swap out the charger.

Ive had the amber light twice, both times the power in my house had gone out because of storms. I figured something triggered a reset. I unplugged and plugged back in both times and was good to go both times.

Manual says -
ENSURE THE CONNECTOR AND CONTROL BOX ARE PROPERLY CONNECTED. UNPLUG AND REPLUG IN THE CONNECTOR. IF THE MOBILE CHARGER IS WARM OR IN A HOT ENVIRONMENT, USER TROUBLESHOOTING; THE MOBILE CHARGER HAS ENCOUNTERED A FAULT THAT REQUIRES TROUBLESHOOTING. ON OFF OFF TRY CHARGING IN A COOLER AREA. TRY A DIFFERENT OUTLET. TRY A DIFFERENT CONNECTOR IF YOU HAVE ONE AVAILABLE. IF THE ERROR PERSISTS, CONTACT US

If you're sure everything is good on your end, it's probably the charger. I've seen a couple cases on here where the Mobile Charger has issues and stops charging. Seems like there's a bad batch of them that end up with faults. The dealer should replace it under warranty. If they don't have a 240V outlet that's their problem, they are supposed to have one if they sell EVs.
