Dealer is worried about my fuel filter

How nice of my dealer to automatically schedule additional service for me when I pick up my car from the recall work. I wonder how many electrons they think a fuel filter can capture before it needs replaced. Anyway, just humor. Enjoy the day all!

I debated asking my salesperson if he'd throw in free oil changes (har har) to sweeten the deal, but then I realized that would probably end one of two ways:
- He might take me seriously and offer them, and I'd have to correct and embarrass him or
- He might think *I* don't know anything about EVs despite buying one, and wonder what other idiocy I'd be capable of.

(In their defense I was standing in front of the big "Electric" on the side of the drivers door.)

Don't be so negative about electrons. I'm sure the dealer would be happy to charge for this service. ? ?

Yeah, I'm sure mine are pretty nasty. They are mostly generated from coal here in central Indiana. I wonder if there is an extreme service interval for fuel filters used against coal electrons.

I have been driving factory built pure BEV's (Honda, Toyota Nissan, Chevy) since 1999. Every single dealership that I purchased the car from has sent me coupons for an oil change. Somethings never change. We will see if my MME (whenever it gets here) will follow that trend, but I will only be "shocked" (sorry for the pun) if I don't get that coupon in the mail/e-mail.

While it is somewhat funny.. Fordpass app once showed my engine oil status.. Those things are generally just coming from data systems with tables that are very basic and covering multiple cars, and some of the fields are just "where applicable", so it is up to the mechanic to know if it applies or not.
