I am 99% sure the answer is "no", but I am using Android and don't have an Apple watch.
My Apple watch Ford Pass app has lock, unlock and start. My phone is upstairs and not near the car or watch. I was just able to start my car from the watch app.

I just went through this entire thread. @HuntingPudel, you said it best. This is a proper CF. I know many have PaaK working but I'm not going to bother once mine comes. The benefit is not worth the risk.
There’s no risk involved with PAAK beyond losing your phone. Hide a key in a Faraday bag (or wrap it in foil) somewhere not obvious in the car. Or use the entry and start codes. In more than 7 months I e had PAAK fail twice. I used the atart codes.

Your phone and your watch are still connected (either via Bluetooth or over your home Wi-Fi). Here’s the acid test: leave your phone at home and drive a few miles away (with the fob). Leave the car and lock it (use the fob to confirm). Then try to unlock or remote start with your Apple Watch.
(note, I’m assuming Apple Watch GPS+Cellular here. This definitely won’t work the Apple Watch GPS only of course).

There is (almost) no risk. If PaaK doesn’t work, use the passcodes.

I get we can do that. But, I'm just trying to figure out what the benefits of PAAK are beyond just not carrying the fob. Most of us have to carry other keys with us anyway.
Don't get me wrong, it is a cool feature and I like just using my phone if I can (I'm a big user of Google Pay) but am I missing something?

I was a skeptic, but I will echo what others have said here that it basically doesn't fail completely at this point. Maybe it doesn't unlock right away once in a while when I approach and press the door button, but I wait a second or two and then it'll open.

The main benefit -- outside of not having to carry the fob, which because I don't have other keys to carry, is nice -- is that you also get frunk and hatch buttons, as well as remote window controls. The frunk button is nice.

I would try it in situations where you're not far away from home -- so long as you have backup codes set properly there's no risk of being stranded.

As the son of a hyper-paranoid master locksmith, I’m voting against hiding a physical key anywhere. Anywhere you can think of hiding a key, a crook has already thought of. You won’t find me doing this. Just my opinion based on having worked with my dad on and off over several decades and seeing the result of having “hidden” a key. ?‍♂?

I am used to carrying keys, so carrying the physical key for the MME is not an issue. I just wish the stupid key had a frunk button. Then I wouldn’t care about the FP app or PaaK. ?‍♂?

I must have missed this but the key doesn’t have a frunk open button? Wow

The European key has a frunk lid button. The North American key does not (presumably because we get PaaK and the European cars do not). ?‍♂?

Steve, if I lived near you, I would drive by with my PaaK enabled MME and see how long it would take for you to find the hidden Fob. Like a contest! I know you would find it eventually, because you know it is there. I figure most thieves won't know it is there and won't know to look for it. Seriously, who would think to look behind the visor anyway?

Hmm... I'm heading over to Europe for work early next year. I may grab a EuroFOB and see if it is possible for the frunk button to work on an NA car.

I have to admit, having the frunk button on the PAAK is a pretty big benefit.

The 5 button keys work on a different frequency than the 4 button keys. I doubt that the EU key will work for a NA car. ??

I would definitely like to be able to throw my phone into a corner on weekends (which I can do now since the key fob has more features than the FordPass app) and not be tied to it. Unfortunately I am pretty sure I can’t use a 5 button key with my NA-spec MME. ??‍♂?

Actually, I do not carry any keys. That's why I'd prefer not to carry the fob, if possible. I'm not a fan of carrying things that I can (and do) lose :) The less stuff I have to keep track of and remember to bring along, the better off I am. That's one of the reasons I wish PaaK also worked on Apple Watch (WaaK?) :)

Why not just toss it in the console, like I do? :) Much more obscure.

Actually, I used to have a 1996 Explorer with a great place to hide a key in the passenger compartment. I always kept a key there. It was underneath one of the ash trays in the rear armrest.
