How much time to receive VIN once the order was accepted from the dealer?

For those who were assigned a VIN already, how much time did it take to receive the VIN once the order was accepted from the dealer? I’m sure times vary, but just trying to get an idea of how long it might take.

It will be months since the VIN is not available until the order gets scheduled for production. Given the current wait for a car is 28+ weeks and the dealer acceptance usually occurs in the first week you place the order, I would guess at least 3 to 4 months before a VIN is available for your specific car.

Mine was almost 3 months ordered 2/3/2021 and got VIn# 4/23/2021

I ordered on 5/1/21 and didn't get a scheduled for production (and thus a VIN) until 9/23/2021.

I'm scheduled for production this week, and it's gotta be one of the last 2021 models. Ugh.

Ordered 10/11, received VIN and production date on 11/4 (production scheduled 1/17). GT trim 2022 MY. Just a regular customer...order priority 19

Dealer is confident I will see it by end of Feb and said recent orders are slightly beating the estimated 28weeks from ford.com

If you go through the order registry and stats, more recent orders seem similar to mine vs those from early in '21 that have posted here.

8/05/21 ordered placed ( $1K down and ADM in writing) at dealer
Premium ER, AWD, DMG
9/27/21 Order confirmed
10/01/21 email informing us our 2021 MME was converted to a 2022
11/01/21 received our VIN and build date 12/20/21
1/10/22 new build date on Reservations and Orders page
Now waiting and waiting and waiting. Hope to received our 22 MME in late Feb or early March

I ordered 7/13 and received a VIN 11/1.

Dumb question here…. My order says “Scheduled for Production Week of 2/21/22” but I don’t see a VIN anywhere. Am I supposed to be seeing one?
