The newer charge point ones can do "sharing" where the adjacent 62.5kW charger can provide extra power to the first one if no one is plugged into it. You don't get double the power but you do get a little bit extra.
Yeah, there are a pair of these and they say “125kW Shared”. I guess that’s where the extra kW came from. Thanks for the offer! I will pm my vin.

Ran @rodhx 's VIN. The dealer DID NOT do ANY of the 21P22 updates. All updates are available for this vehicle.

Does your paperwork show they did it? Please check. If it does that means they billed Ford for it which would be fraud. The warranty claim has not come through yet so I can't see what they billed.

Hopefully they just forgot or something....

Got to love dealers that refuse to do updates!
i actually trust my guys so I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt on this if they missed one or more ;). At least I found it before it was a critical stop.

Damn. assuming that will be the case with mine. Will be a bit of a pain in the ass for our xmas road trip.
All EVs have a taper. It’s just that the original one for the MME is way too sharp & conservative.

Mine is a May build. Pre-June software.

Keep us updated! I want to know what happened....If they bill it through without doing it that is warranty fraud. I'm guessing a lazy or ignorant tech but we'll find out hopefully. I just hope it wasn't malicious but with dealers these days you just don't know...

Nothing yet. Keep your eye open we will most definitely start a thread when they become available. My theory is they're going to make the high speed power cutoff or "5 second rule" better and we'll see that all come together as one update in Q1. That's just a hopeful theory though. Nothing confirmed.

Mine still has a cliff, the difference is how far you fall:

EVGO has a 1 hour timeout
Good to know. I never went 1 hour with my select but the ER needed more than an hour at 50 kW (43actual).

Wouldn't be the first time a manufacturer was billed for warranty work that wasn't performed. ??

37 kWh at 91% is much better than before the new charging curve. I am jealous!

How did you get 75kW on a 62.5kW charger?
Sometimes the Express 250 units are installed in pairs. As best as I can tell.....each machine looks like a 50kW unit with 2 "Power Modules".....which appear to be battery storage devices. These 2 power modules in one machine can output 62.5kW for a period of time. Then they become 50kW units.

If they are installed in pairs and connected a certain way then the second machine can share its stored energy (about 12.5kW) with the first machine. 62.5 kW + 12.5 kW = 75 kW

If two vehicles arrive at the machines at the same time then each car could get 62.5 kW each until the stored energy is transferred and then up to 50kW for the remainder of the session.

If one vehicle starts charging first then it might get 75kW for a bit. A second vehicle arrives later, but will only get 50 kW because car #1 consumed unit #2's stored energy.

Both car leaves and the power modules charge back up and wait for the next EV to come along.
