Starting to wonder why I would spend $60,000 on this car, and have to deal with Ford’s ineptitudes in selling, building, delivering, recalling of the Mach e?!
ordered 4/28/21
build. 10/15/21
shipped 10/19/21
now apparently on recall hold…. FRUSTRATION BEYOND BELIEF, Bill csg

Exact dates as my premium, except 4/27 order. Like yours, also on hold.

YES, the frustration is palpable!

It would be really useful if someone gets a hold of the promised dealer bulletin (when it gets published the week of 1/3/22) and posts it here so that we can all make sure that our dealers open a correct repair order!

I’m waiting for the other shoe to drop on my ETA, too. It’s currently 1/3-1/9, but since Ford isn’t allowing dealers to even order the parts for the seat belt recall until 1/3 at the soonest, there’s simply no way that I’ll get it by Jan. 9.

My guess is that Ford won’t even release my car from its ‘quality hold’ until my dealer has either ordered the parts, or has them in hand. Once that happens, its status at the rail yard will change to ‘pickup pending.’ From what I’ve seen with other VINs, that means it’ll continue to sit at the yard for 3-5 additional days until it gets trucked the final 28 miles to my dealer.

Then it will be a matter of them installing the parts and prepping the car for delivery. It’s making me wonder if this is going to drag into February—the 10th month since my order!

FYI- I ordered this car on a whim…. Sort of like when I put together my first C- band satellite dish system….. ground floor tech, free tv….. this car same type of thing….., jump in before they nail ya with an EV mileage tax…. Have some tax- free money to spend, but really Ford, your trying my 8 months of patience!
Bill csg. Thanks for listening & good luck with your car..

I spoke with a GM yesterday. They can order parts starting 1/3. ETA on parts is 3/1. There are only a handful of sellable MMEs right now.

That would mean I’d have just about a full year wait, and would be brutal. I sure hope that’s not correct info. Even if they needed another sub to make them, it ought to be much quicker than that!

I didn’t sell mine, but basically detailed it inside and out, and removed all my ‘stuff.’ Made it look like new, even adding tire shine for my 11/21-11/27 ETA. What a fool I was!

Anyone know where the MachE would fit on this list so far? https://www.iseecars.com/car-recall-study

I've been hit by the windshield/roof recall of course, hoping this one doesn't also get expanded out to everything. How much of this is due to the new Mexico plant not having proper training vs simply a new model/electric vehicle? In all honesty I kinda feel like Ford knew tech centered people were more likely to purchase this car and decided to use it as a test bed for their F150 lightning which is sure to be more popular.

And to the guy buying 4 as tax write offs...you're the reason why we can't have nice things.
