Just threw the new rims and rubber on my wife’s 4X and thought I’d share here. Wheels are all 45 offset. Tires are Continental EC DWS-06 in 255/45-20. Each wheel/tire combo weighs 57 lbs, which is 3 lbs less than the OEM Premium wheels with the summer tire option.

Hey guys, My GTPE just left the factory. I would really like to get a set of winter tires and SMALLER rims on her before I even touch the car. Any suggestions for clearing those Brembos with 19" or even 18" wheels?
Measure the caliper-to-wheel clearance on a GTPE with 20's. I very much doubt that smaller rims will clear the calipers on the front.

Probably a good idea to get people's aftermarket wheel/tire size/specs etc with pictures so everyone looking to do fitments can review.

I'll start with my setup:
20x9 +38 with a 245/45/20 and 20x10.5 +45 295/40/20
Ride quality has definitely improved as well as handling, range is down a little bit but we haven't really driven it much yet.
Long term I'll be switching to a 20x10 +50 in the rear and probably move to a 275/40 and 245/45 staggered setup due to the plan to lower it

Hello, whenever you get a chance, could you post a pic of this set up head on, so I can see what it looks like under the fender and wheel well? Just trying to get an idea of the fitment, I got the exact same set up for my new wheels. 255 45 20s 45 offset, my wheel is an 8.5 inch though. Any additional pics would be appreciated!

Hers are 20x8.5” as well. I had that in the title of my original post but the admin took it down to merge it into this thread. Perfect fitment if you ask me. ?

Oh heck yeah this is exactly what I was looking for! Thanks for providing this pic! Yeah I agree I think it’s a really nice fit but wasn’t sure until now. I’ve seen plenty of people with 245s on 9 inch wheels, and various other combos, but not the exact one that I purchased. Looks great! I got a Space white as well, love this color.

They weren't losing 10% by changing the wheels...they were losing 10% by switching to stickier summer tires. The standard tires on the Mach-E optimize the range, not the traction. Softer tire rubber gives you better handling, traction and stopping power, but wears faster and has more rolling resistance. The GTPE's softer summer rubber gives it 10 miles less range than the GT's stiffer all-season rubber.
The summer rubber and of course the lack of aero covers.

My GTPE is DMG. I'm still shopping for wheels. Considering the Savini BM14 but really have trouble deciding between gloss black and double dark tint (or TSW Neptune in semi gloss black - although those bronze look very nice!). I haven't seen a pic with a DMG and double dark tint yet.

I was wondering...some wheels don't come 20x8.5, only 20x9 and up.....can I go 20x9 with my stock summer tires (GTPE) or will that lower the diameter too much? Is there an online calculator that will let you input both the new rim size and tire size? I haven't found one. Thanks!!

It doesn't look like this is doing what I'm asking either.

What I want to know, is if I take my 245/45R20 off a 20x8 rim and put that same 245/45R20 on a 20x9 rim, what is the circumference change (I incorrectly said diameter...but kinda the same results).

That tire is going to stretch quite a bit, so how much smaller will that diameter be on that size rim.

Wheel-size should provide exactly what you are trying to evaluate. https://www.wheel-size.com/calc/?wh...-20X8.5ET40&fcl=50mm&scl=50mm&wcl=30mm&sr=0mm
