I'm focused on "interpreting" the VINs of 2022 MME registered in this database, trying to get some idea of how many MME are being scheduled for building, guessing at how many are non-US destinations, and how long between order and VIN. This forum database is very small compared to the likely total number of MME orders or scheduled MME, so conclusions are not possible, only guestimates. Ford provides little information on these things or their allocation system. (I've not been evaluating 2021 VINs. My limited reading suggests that the total 2021 MME production was around 67,000, 23K to Europe, 27K to US, and 4K to Canada. The highest 2021MY MME VIN I've run across is 66,939 in Montreal. I also have no idea how many have still NOT actually been delivered, yet. It's clear from other threads in this forum that some MME ordered and built in 2021/early 2022 are waiting to be completed.
As if 30 Jan 2022, there are 69-2022MY VIN entered in this forum's database. Looking at the serial portion of each VIN, the lowest one entered is A01174. (81% are 2021 orders converted to 2022MY.) The lowest 2022 VIN for an order dated 1 Oct or later is A02521; the highest entered in the database so far for 2022MY is A20238. The estimated build dates for the 20K+ VIN serials are mid-late March 2022. Since the VIN is assigned when the MME is scheduled to begin assembly, the "conclusion" is that about 19,064-2022MY MME have been scheduled, as of 30 Jan 2022, with assembly of the highest serials being in 6-8 weeks from now (assuming they actually perform as estimated). Since Ford's weekly production goals are unstated, and non-US allocations are undisclosed, who can say what this actually means? One encouraging note is that 2021 monthly production at the Cuautitlan Assembly plant was around 6-7K units per month. It's yet to be seen how many MME will actually be produced but in the absence of shortages or labor problems, this plant could produce more than 20,000 MME by the end of March. Again, how many of these may go to non-US destinations or end up on chip hold is unknown.
While cruising Canadian Ford dealer inventory, I ran across a group of 2022 MME VINs being advertised. (Apparently, it's common practice for a dealer to advertise a vehicle that they do not have on the lot and do not even have a delivery date.) They are in the 16,000 serial, supporting the hypothesis that MME production is allocated in batches sent to Canada or elsewhere, and perhaps explaining the "gaps" in some serial numbers seen in this mostly US database. I also saw many 2021MY MME advertised with VINs in 50-60K (i.e. MMA65XXX) range, with many "in transit".
Day 54 of predicted 196-day wait.

Just added my order, #K013 (I asked my dealer for it). There's no "ice blue metallic" for a color choice - please add it to the form.

You may have the shortest wait on this database between order date and estimated build date/VIN assignment. Can you share the circumstances? and let us know if your build date slips out. (I ordered the same week and am expecting to wait another 8-10 weeks before I even get a VIN/build date.)

Will do. I don't have any special circumstances. Just placed an order online with the dealer I planned to work with. Guess I just got lucky (so far, lol).

Edit: I would add that my order is for a basic GT (no extra options). Maybe that played a role.

It's astonishing to see a Dec 2022 order get a VIN around the same time as several people with converted 2021 orders and October orders. Trying to be rational about Ford's allocation system is fruitless. Perhaps the dealer has some pull. "My dealer" says they have no role in setting priority at all, assigned me 19 and there it stays. Anyway, congratulations.

Your dealer is lying to you. They can go as high as 10, then Ford is the only one that can go lower than that.
