delivery time is now 40 weeks

I ordered my car in sept 21, was told the build would be in Feb. Now looks like delivery is end July. Thanks about 40 weeks so way off what Ford stick on their website.
If it gets much longer I think I will wait for the Fisker which looks to be a much better car. Really disappointed with Ford and Uk deliveries.

I guess I am one of many. I don't mind waiting but I want a realistic date so I can plan. I had a buyer for my existing car and he has now gone. I just don't understand why Ford cannot get their planning right. Que cera.......

Because the chip production is out of their control. One chip plant closed for weeks without notice.

I agree that the delays are aggravating. It looks to me like desirable EVs are delayed by similar amounts in the UK.

Most of it isn't Fords fault. Unexpected parts shortages and plant closings without warning screw everyone up.

40 weeks would be a big improvement based on my experience. I ordered a Prem ER AWD on 5.12.21...current projection for delivery is 5.13.22.

Just curious why you would say a new, untested, not produced or available, no dealer network, no service, unrated by EPA, ground up design, mostly shown in renderings, EV from a previously failed car company is going to be a "much better" car than one already delivered by a trusted 100+ year old American manufacturer, that has won many major awards, that many on this forum reliably drive today?

There are many Chinese EV's coming out soon as well, those must be spectacular!
