Well that really sucks. The $2K CVRP was a nice rebate to offset the large down payment I was going to give to get the monthly payments down. The MSRP is not the only item to change the rebate, the income levels dropped too.

I checked the website and did notice they added the 2022 Mustang Mach-e now on the site (it wasn't there this weekend). Hope that's a good sign. Of course, the $45k doesn't start till Feb 24th so maybe it's nothing, but at least Ford got the paperwork in.

Probability to get the car before the 24th? 0%.

You are living in the wrong state if want handouts to stop. Never going to happen unfortunately.
Never say never ... and just because I live here doesn't mean I have to agree.

The CVRP website referencing the Feb 24 changes specifically notes the below. Maybe don't worry about the MSRP considering they aren't saying the Mach-E will no longer be eligible.

  • The following vehicles will no longer be eligible:
    • BMW i3s
    • BMW i3 REX
    • BMW i3s REX
    • Polestar 2

Ahh, very good point. Maybe I'm just worried about nothing then. Looking at the Polestar 2, the lowest priced model is $45,900 so that's over the $45k. No Tesla's are listed at all, but Tesla has line items for higher trim levels looking at someone's vehicle purchase agreement and it showed the Model Y was $39,990 plus LR AWD was a $9,000 extra line item.

Maybe all they care about is that the Select "base" model is $43,985.

I still would like to see the EPA site changed honestly. It just looks wrong.

Edit: The Polestar 2 now has a "Eligible until 02/24/22" in it's picture so we're probably safe. <whew>.

EPA now shows 2022 MME as a Small Sport Utility Vehicle. All Models expect GT would qualify for CVPR.

The GT I ordered would have qualified for the $2K. Ford increased the MSRP, and with the new rules on the CVRP they both worked against me here.

It sucks, as it makes the Premium or CA Rte1 that much more attractive, but alas, cannot order those anymore.

Glad to see. I actually contacted all of them...not sure if it was me, but either way, that's a win for the future/BBB and now, we don't have to spend 35 pages debating whether the Mach-e is a station wagon or a small SUV.

I checked and noticed that 2021 are "Small Station Wagons", but 2022 are "Small Sport Utility Vehicle 2WD"

Great, so I am guessing my 2021 premium ext AWD that still hasn’t been delivered is not eligible because it is a 2021 MY that I should get potentially this month UGH!

Apply still, it should go based off the base model which is under $45k.

This website (ev.pge.com) actually doesn't show the GT with the $2k CVRP rebate (the select/premium/CaRt1 does show up). I'd just go by the actual CVRP website and apply since from everything I've seen, the CVRP only factors in the base model.

They also have a big banner saying all the Tesla vehicles aren't eligible anymore and nothing about the Ford Mach-E.
