I'm curious what windshield wipers people are buying to replace the stock ones on their Mach-E. Specifically front, as there's been extensive forum discussions on the rear wiper (Trico 15-G if you want more coverage).

So, what front windshield wiper brand are you using?

I've been trying to find out the same! I think the stock wipers are garbage! On my previous vehicles I have used silicone wiper blades and they have lasted a long time and performed really well. Im going to find some silicone ones.

I have use the Bosch Icon for the last ten years and have been a superior wiper blade.
The secret to a long lasting and happy wiper is to wash it and dry it when washing the car.
Keeping oil and dirt particles off the blade is key. Ordered 3 sets from amazon None fit.
New post 12-28-22. The 24OE and 20OE Work perfectly. Clean and noiseless!!

I bought Tricos for my Fusion when the factory blades started to smear. They worked fine. I don’t find that I am having an issue with the front wipers on my MME (yet - it’s only 5 months old, 4 months in my possession). Being that I am in drought-ridden NorCal, I don’t have long enough with the stock wipers to tell. ?‍♂?

On my Blazer I only buy Anco refills. I do not buy blades because I have the “aero” wipers on my Blazer (nothing is aerodynamic about that big, ugly box). They have been through some ugly duck weather and do a fine job. That could be partially due to the spoilers built into the “aero” wipers. ??

So true. I lift the wipers occasionally and wipe them off with a damp towel to get rid of grit. ??

RainX... and the RainX fluid. I love watching the rain drops glide off the windshield between wipes--almost don't need the wipers.
Do you mean RainX that you apply to the windshield or the wiper fluid that you fill the reservoir with? I ask because I used to fill my Q5 with the RainX wiper fluid and my service advisor told me it’s more viscous and seems to interfere with the sensor that tells you it’s time to refill. He mentioned that when I told him my sensors didn’t seem to work anymore. Fixed itself when I changed back to the regular kind. Now I spray RainX onto the windshield and wipe down.

I'm almost sold but then read a review that it will damage the paint if oversprayed.

The fluid for the reservoir... I haven't had any issues, and I have used it in almost every car I have owned. But it could be that I check the level periodically on my own, so I haven't needed the sensor to tell me it's low.

I clean the wiper blades with extra-fine sand paper. A couple of passes is all that's needed.

Sorry to resurrect old thread, but I'm in the market for some new wipers, is the consensus that Bosch Icon are good choices?

I'm also interested in this from the rear window wiper perspective. People are buying longer wipers, how long are people going?

Just installed the Trico 15-G two weeks ago on the rear window. They work much much better than the originals. Just be sure to view the youtube videos on removing the old ones.
