Yes it is! I checked FDRS this evening and all my stuck updates are gone as well.It looks like Ford has finally fixed the bug that kept some modules from disappearing from the list in FDRS after they were updated (ABS, etc.). This is a beautiful sight.

There are Chinese clones that people have reported to work. Probably not much support though if you run into issues. Are there any alternatives to the Mongoose? 500 is cheaper than a Ford VC type, but still a little pricey.
No.Today we had some discussion with the dealer regarding doing your own updates.
They were not happy with it at all. They also told us to run the test routine of every update. Just to make sure everything is fine.
Is this something you guys also do ?
@Eric_C_Boston , what's the current version of your IPC module? OTA 2.4.3 is queued for my car, which is an IPC update, but I believe my current version (LU5T-10F906-AA) is already the latest. That's an inhibit update, so it will be interesting to see what it will do, if anything.Yes it is! I checked FDRS this evening and all my stuck updates are gone as well.
Good Luck finding a Ford VCM3, I've been waiting for 4 months and called to check. They laugh at me and said maybe you'll see one in 6 months but don't hold your breath! And I already paid for it LOL!Are there any alternatives to the Mongoose? 500 is cheaper than a Ford VC type, but still a little pricey.
Wait. So you are saying that the dealer is upset about people running updates with the same software they use? And yet, they won't run the updates or complete them entirely when you bring your car in for service, sometimes even if you are willing to pay them for it, at dealership level hourly service prices. How does that make sense? And, when they run these updates, and don't run all of them that are applicable to your vehicle, it stops you from having successful completions of OTAs. I mean....Today we had some discussion with the dealer regarding doing your own updates.

I have the same F188 strategy (LU5T-10F906-AA), which I updated on March 2. Love getting the tenths of miles back. It went away at 10k. Both 2.4.3 and 2.4.4 updated the IPC. We both have the 2.4.4 version.@Eric_C_Boston , what's the current version of your IPC module? While this does work most of the time, This is the adapter that causes the CCM module to fail in the middle of flashing. There are Chinese clones that people have reported to work. Probably not much support though if you run into issues.

Interesting. I assume that all of the OTA updates wil fail for my car since all the modules have already been updated at this point. I did get the BlueCruise email after doing the final GWM and APIM updates.I have the same F188 strategy (LU5T-10F906-AA), which I updated on March 2. Love getting the tenths of miles back. I had 2.4.3 queued after I updated the IPC and the final result was failure. I got the other OTAs beyond 2.4.4. I had to enable Blue Cruise through the Cruise Control menu after I got 2.5.3. I have not received my "welcome to Blue Cruise" email. No mention on Connected Services and the EAP website says Blue Cruise is not active.
I am interested to see what your car does.
Ah so does this explain why I sat for an hour yesterday watching this screen just go round in circles before finally having to abort the update? (that was scary I can tell you!)While this does work most of the time, This is the adapter that causes the CCM module to fail in the middle of flashing.
It's possible they could update the firmware to fix it, I wouldn't count on it coming quickly.
I had the same thing happen on Saturday. I let it run for over 9 hours because I was terrified of the scary 'abort' messages. Everything is reading green now so I think it figured itself out behind the scenes. What version should the IPMA be updated to?Ah so does this explain why I sat for an hour yesterday watching this screen just go round in circles before finally having to abort the update? IPMA took for ages (+2 hours) on a Job1 car i did 2 weeks ago. And FDRS did crash the first try. Reboot laptop fixed the issue as FDRS did finish after the second try. Scary ? yes ! Especially when the laptop was rebooting and the car was still in download mode...I had the same thing happen on Saturday. FWIW, I use the Mongoose.
