3 islands away. Shallowest water is around 3,000 feet deep. The channel between Hawaii and Maui is just under 7,000 feet deep. I’m sure the bridges will be built today too. ;)

About 200 miles straight line.
I was extremely honored to be able to attend a private event on board the Arizona the one time I was in HI. Definitely an incredible experience.
I never understood why ferries never took off. Some say environmentalists but then there is aircraft pollution...

Best view of the Arizona memorial is from Ford island and the overlook there. If I remember correctly there is a bench to sit on.

Alright, so I got the BC update and the car seems to be driving fine. Except no BC. Do I need to do something to activate it?

Ive got adaptive cruise control toggled on plus lane centering with hands free. I was on a divided highway and I got a little message about BC on the instrument panel, but then it just stayed in the CP360 mode.

I went to my ford.com vehicle dashboard connected services and it looks like my trial has already been activated. Says it expires a year from now and there’s no button to tap to activate. Thoughts?

I called customer service this afternoon, who then transferred me to “in vehicle technology” who then transferred me to “BlueCruise.” They’re all clueless. The BlueCruise lady could only surmise that I wasn’t actually in a “blue zone” even though I got a pop up on the driver screen saying BC was available.

I said “well, I know exactly where I was driving - can you check?” And her answer was - I sh*t you not - we don’t have any way of checking because we don’t have maps. There’s supposed to be one coming.”

My God, @Ford Motor Company. I mean just, My God. There are no words for what an incompetent cluster your rollout of this product has been. You don’t even have a damned map for internal use?!

This kind of crap is INEXCUSABLE.

did this all through FDRS... presumably the dealer can do what DIYers can do.
Ford is now allowing to be done at dealership, but that just came out today.

Just for sake of clarity here. My car has the BC software, and hands free enabled in sync. But there are no prompts and the system doesn't go into hands free mode. BlueCruise is also not showing on connected services.

So yes.. you can install the software on FDRS but the servers still need to activate it on Ford's side. And it appears they're only doing that for EAP members so far

Well, I tried BC today and it did work pretty well. I think it keeps the car to center better than previously. They do need to continue to work on mapping.

A ways to go to catch up to Autopilot though. Perhaps they will work in stages. We already know lane change and speed recognition for circles is coming. It would be nice to get traffic light recognition, but I'm not sure it's even possible with the current hardware and it would be great if it can follow a route in the Nav system.

just got back my car from the dealership and asked if all updates were pushed they said yes. I don’t see blue cruise options anywhere nor does it say on the invoice

You won't ever see anything called "BlueCruise" listed as an update.

If you have a Job 1 vehicle and it currently does not have BlueCruise functionality (but you paid for the prep package) you can do one of three things.....wait until the OTA fairy visits your Mach-E.....or you can print the attached Program 21G01 memo off and take it to your Service Manager and ask that your vehicle modules be updated until there are no more updates available (and you will have BC at that point), or three you can get a FDRS account (recommend the two-day license at a minimum), and a Mongoose cable, and either another vehicle to connect to your Mach-E's battery with jumper cables to maintain the charge while programming, or a battery charger with a power supply function, and just do it all yourself. I choose option three. I got tired of waiting for the tech at my dealership who insisted that the software to enable BC wasn't in his system. What they clearly failed to understand at the dealership level was that this "eligibily list" thing only applies to those who want to go the OTA path. If the tech updates all modules in a Job 1 Mach-E until there are no modules left to update....that Mach-E will have BlueCruise. Period. Full Stop.

I've advised my dealership and service staff and they now have a good understanding. So clearly Ford has a job to do in communicating these details to the techs. Cause I'm sure there are many that do not have an understanding of how getting customers to BC functionality is supposed to happen. You'll note in the attached memo that service technicians are not listed in the "targeted audience" of this memo. Also, I repeatedly got told that the "BlueCruise" software wasn't listed on their FDRS server for download......so obviously that's what they were all looking for instead of just applying all the possible updates to the modules until it resulted in the "Synch version 364" which is the big clue that your car has finally gotten there. And sometime after that when the mothership gets updated with the news that you've gotten all the updates you'll get a message in FP that announces your trial is active.

Bottom line. If you don't have BC and you want it now; print the attached and take it to your service manager and tell them you want all available updates applied, and to keep going until they see Synch version 364. It's time for an end to the shenanigans about OTAs and EA lists and other nonsense. Time to get it done!

Not true. I'm not a member of any EA club and I just did it in FDRS two days ago.

I did my BC updates myself using FDRS two days ago. I went out on a four lane that I thought was a BC enabled road....enabled cruise and got the message that BlueCruise was now on and I had to watch the road...and then got told 15 seconds later to keep my hands on the wheel.

So I then hit the interstate and turned it on and it went onto full BC hands-free mode and I was livin the dream. The point is that the highway I was on earlier turned out to not be a BC enabled road, but I thought that it was. I think that's what you may have experienced. So if you get a message that BC is on and to watch the road but the display continues to show two hands on the wheel...it's not a BC enabled section of road. It's a learning curve....

Okay then spill the beans! What did you to get the connected services to activate? Mine is stuck at that stage

I really didn't do anything exceptional or out of the ordinary. I just kept applying updates to whatever modules were showing SW Updates available until my FDRS screen looked like the attached image. I did the same thing on my '21 Job 1 F-150 Powerboost as well. Nothing out of the ordinary. Just kept applying updates. Are you sure you got all of them? I noticed I had to wait a bit for the server to figure out that I'd done one sometimes, before the next one popped up.

If you need me to check to see if you have anything showing as due, you can send me your VIN and I can let you know. Also, did you get the message in FP that your trial had started? Mine came within an hour of finishing up the updates in both cases.
