Thanks you're more informative than Ford. My car was showing aboard with an arrival date of yesterday. Still not showing as being shipped on Ford's website. Guess it'll be surprising the dealership.
Nice! The Ford trackers have been relatively useless for me. I'm shown as Built with no shipped email. But I'm confirmed on this boat.

My car on the SS Alliance Fairfax, has ZERO information on any of the official trackers, there is something in my VVR about ocean voyage and an ML number (00239???) or something like that. I hope my car gets her land legs, you know what its like on a boat for over a week

For all the people who have received shipped notices, do you know if the car is actually in transit or could they still be sitting and waiting for shipment (ie does shipped really mean shipped or that it could also mean that it is scheduled for shipment)?
We've been pretty vocal here on tracking them and where they are. Those who shipped are pretty much mainly in Laredo, Texas waiting for the train to KC. That and some waiting on boats.

It depends on which kind of notice.
if it is a shipped status on an order page, it means it has left the factory, in which case, it will revert to “Built” in a few days, but will be stored at a location offsite.
If it is a shipped email, then you are on your way within a few days, to be loaded on a railcar or ship or whatever else Ford can scrape up to get the cars out.

Also, the progress is noted at only key points along the way. So it may appear to be stalled in one location when in fact, it’s on its way to the next. Since the VVR shows only that last location, that’s all anyone can report with certainty.

Or it can be a total mystery as I haven't had any updates from Ford since it told me I was built March 9.
Joining this forum, especially this thread has been the best thing. Would never have known my car left the factory without it.
I may get lucky and get my car before my ETD week ends. ?? Today is the last day I have to go to the gas station for my daily.

Getting EXTREMELY frustrated with this whole process. Original build week was 01/10. Car was on chip hold and Ford says it was build 03/07. My car STILL hasn't shipped. I am reading posts on the forum in groups for March build dates and their cars are already on their way. WTF. The Ford tracker hasn't shown an ETA for a couple months now and according to the Ford chat my estimated delivery is 04/14-04/20 which clearly isn't happening.
Same here. I heard directly on Twitter from Mike Levine this a.m, who tells me it will ship "soon." I don't want to bug him for any more information he likely doesn't have, but at least I've vented (politely) to him and gotten a response. {Jonathan}

Here's my latest from Ford.com.. They've employed a different strategy that is more accurate - they're using the Magic Eight Ball to provide answers.

So the real question here is, what does Mike Levine actually know or is he pulling this out of his butt?

I think we all know the real answer. They produced a bunch of cars, and parked them without all the chips. The filled the lot, or lots. Then they started the non-customer-friendly process of LIFO, last-in, first-out, because they never thought to park the cars so that they could do FIFO, first-in, first out, because someone isn't very bright (or someones). The end result is they've screwed over a bunch of people for stupid reasons, and created ill will where there was no need to create it.

If I worked in the Transportation Department at Ford, I'd be embarrassed. I am 6 weeks away from 1 year since I ordered.

Yep, and Ford doesn't care because the car will be sold even if we cancel. We would never order a car from Ford again after this.

I think Ford does care. I think that they've been overwhelmed by the chip shortage. However, they have had chip shortages for a year or more now, and parking vehicles to put chips in them is not new. Shipping the newest cars first and the oldest cars last is simply not customer friendly, at least to that group of customers. Of course shipping the newest cars first likely upsets less people.

I completely agree about the chip shortage, but there is no reason at all that cars built in APRIL should be shipping out before cars that were build in January and then finished in March because of the chip hold.
